CBM Fight Club RULES!!!

You may base your vote on any version of the character (but preferably use the “classic” comics’ interpretation or the live adaptation version). This is NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST please decide logically, you can defend your vote in the comment section by writing a descriptive detail on how the character takes down his opponent.

Consider each fight as the FIRST MEETING of the two characters (even if they exist in the same universe). Treat the fights as first encounters, which means there are no prior knowledge of the other's power set and abilities, as well as knowing their strengths or weaknesses).

These fights are Chance Encounters, the FIGHTS are NOT PLANNED, so there are no preparation time. However, the characters are outfitted with their regular equipments, weapons, and other stuffs that are closely associated with the character. Though the fights are first encounters, the duration of the battle can last as long as it can. The fights does not need to be DEATHMATCHES, incapacitating the other character counts as a WIN.

Consider the character's personality and how the character will act on the given situation (will he fight dirty, will he be honorable, etc…). The characters can use anything in their present surrounding for their advantage.

What appears as one-sided fights will occasionally appear in the CBM Fight Club tournaments (e.g. Nick Fury vs Thing, Juggernaut vs Rorscharch, etc...). However, like in our favorite comicbooks, these kinds of fights regularly happen (e.g. Spider-man vs Hulk, Batman vs Darkseid, etc...), and like the underdogs in those stories you can be creative in coming up with ways on how the “weaker” warrior brings down the more powerful opponent.


CBM Fight Club rules states that these fights are first encounters without the combatants knowing anything about their opponent, but it also states that these “imaginary” fights can go on as long as it can, until one fighter is dead or permanently incapacitated (e.g. trapped in a phantom zone). This gives the “weaker” fighter, if he survives the first skirmish, to come up with a plan in defeating his opponent.

TUESDAY's Lower Card Fight

-LOWER CARD Fights are requested by CBM users.
-The fights may consist new "qualified ComicBookMovie" fighters who have not fought in any of the CBM Fight Club Tournaments.
-Winner of the LOWER CARD fight, may have the chance to fight in the next MAIN EVENT if a spot is available.
-MAIN EVENT spot is available when a fighter in the Main Event wins for 3 consecutive weekly fights, which the fighter is automatically granted a rest period of one fight.
-Or the MAIN EVENT winner already had a previous face-off with the winner of the MIDDLE CARD.
-In the event that the LOWER CARD winner is unqualified for the MAIN EVENT, which means he already fought the other fighter in a previous tournament, the spot then goes to another fighter who had one fight on any of the CBM Fight Club Tournaments.

TUESDAY's Main Event Fight

-THE MAIN EVENT FIGHT pits the Winner of the previous MAIN EVENT with the Winner of the previous MIDDLE CARD.
-If the Main Event Winner has faced-off with the Middle Card Winner, the spot of the Middle Card Winner goes to the Lower Card Winner.
-In the event that the Main Event Winner has faced-off with both the Middle Card winner and Lower Card winner before, then the spot goes to another fighter, who atleast once have fought in any of the CBM Fight Club Tournament.
-If a fighter gets 3 consecutive wins, he rests for a minimum of 1 fight before he is allowed to enter any CBM Fight Club Tournament.
-His vacated spot in the Main Event will go to the winner of the previous Lower Card. In the event that the Lower Card winner has already fought the Winner of the Middle Card, the Lower Card spot will be taken by a new opponent, who had fought in a previous CBM Fight Club Tournament.

@CBM community members who does not like the outcome of the Batman fights. To be honest I am with you guys (you might even remember that I use to write down that the rule Batman always win does not apply in these fights), unfortunately I had made a strict rule for myself that I won't tamper with the outcome of the fights because I need these fights to be a result of what our community thinks and not of my own (that is the same reason why I make it a point that the fights comes from you guys). My role here is just to present these fights and tally the outcome. Do I agree with the outcome? Not always but I have to separate my preference to what the community thinks (therefore, I personally don't vote in these fights to remain unbias). Do I think that somebody has tampered with the result of the "Batman" Polls? I have my doubts but I cannot prove them, therefore because of the lack of proof I have to accept the results of the poll - even how unlikely I (and many in the community) might think of it. I just have to accept that there are many "voiceless and faceless" members in our community and I have to accept their votes as well. Again to those who felt wronged my deepest regrets to you, I understand what you feel, and respect your thoughts. I do hope you continue to write your well thought-off comments because it is one way to educate the non-geeks, the newly geeks, and others that there are characters that are on par or even better than the "BATMAN".

(I don't comment as often as I like because writing about these fights takes some time)

oh, plus he carries kryptonite, an Infinity Gauntlet, and shark repellent in his utility belt at all times. Nuff said.

but witness who's to say that these results weren't tampered with beyond your control, obviously they were during the multi character fight where batman won. as i remember, when that poll first started odin was up by a ton, then the next day batman had 700 votes, i think this whole site has been compromised honestly by some batman scumbag.

@Berger45 - In this poll Thor has won over Superman. I don't agree with the results but I respect it. In a certain case of relativity, does this effect Doomsdays powers or reputation? I think not.

@Drykillogic22: Most of Thor's powers do come from Mjolnir, but that still gives him a HUGE advantage against Superman. Thor and Captain Marvel are ONLY alike in that their powers are god-based.

Congrads to Wolverine, but the other two results from last week suxed!!..

First match- An Omega level X-Men or some nobody...I think we all know who gets the easy win here...

Mid-card- The man who leads the Cap, or his greatest enemy...I say Red Skull wins this one...Fury would be too concerned with bringing Red Skull into S.h.i.e.l.d. custody, which would allow for Red Skull to get the advantage. I see this one starting-out as a fist-fight.Fury gets the first advantage, but when he tries to handcuff Red Skull, Red Skull breaks lose. Red Skull then reaches into his shirt and pulls out a revolver and shoots Fury right where he stands. Red Skull for the more intelligent win...

Main Event- Pyro would set Enchantress aflame...Pyro for the easy win...

The results for last week's special matches made up for the regular matches, but Booster Gold won his first match against War Machine, are you [frick]in' kidding me? lol...

Ex- Now this would be an exciting match...Both fly and are highly trained fighters, but I give Angel the hard earned win. Volture would be too concerned with taking out Angel's wings. While the Volture is shooting at Angel, Angel uses his experiance to fly around the shots fired, getting up-close with Volture enough to spear him into a tree. While Volture was recovering, Angel would take one of Volture's fallen guns and knock Volture out with the end of the gun...boom!!..

If Doomsday can bring it to Superman and win, he can do the same to Thor. Doomsday win's after a long hard fought battle...

Final battle- I see Gambit winning this one. I see Gambit using his bo as a pogo stick, allowing for him to dodge most of Bullseye's assault. Gambit then gets close enough to smack Bullseye in the face with a charged-up bo. Gambit then takes one of Bullseye's throwing knifes, charges it up and let's lose on Bullseye...
