CBM's of this year: Best to worst.

CBM's of this year: Best to worst.

We got a flaming skulled hero to a team of superheros to the return of everyone's favorite webslinger and finally the epic finale to The Dark Knight's story. Here are my listings and why.

I am not listing these in order of my favorites, I am listing these under which I feel were they fit best and why.

4: Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

The movie failed as a piece of film making and as a comicbook movie. It aimed to be a fun movie and it was, but that's it. After seeing the movie like six or seven times, I have concluded that this film deserves a 6/10 still not the worst but far from the best and it is the worst of 2012.

3: The Dark Knight Rises

Don't get me wrong, this was one of the best movies I have ever seen and the acting was tremendously great (I am still terrified of Tom Hardy's Bane) So, why is this number 3? At least in my opinion, it was a good movie and it did have it's continuity problems. But, no matter the movie, when I see a comicbook movie I am looking for it to be a fun movie and also a good piece of film making. It was a brilliant movie, but I know that with it being a epic, dark, sorrow finale that it isn't gonna be as fun as the other two. It wasn't as fun as I could have been, but I understand why it wasn't.

2: The Amazing Spider-Man

Now because what number three was, this list is now contriversial but thats why it's called an opinion. The Amazing Spider-Man was a strong movie as well as being a fun one despite some lack of development in the romance department (BattlinMurdock helped me see that) and in my opinion it is the best reboot. Alot of people say it borrows alot from the original Spider-Man film, while actually it didn't borrow as much as they think.

1: The Avengers

I take it after seeing The Dark Knight Rises at number 3, you all thought this would be number one? Well despite a few continuity problems (every movie has flaws) but this is overall a excellent piece of film making and it is a VERY fun movie and it is the best comicbook movie. That's why it's number one.

IDK in terms of action and it being a fun great family movie Avengers takes the win, but DKR was just a better movie overall

Ghost rider shouldnt have made your list. But tdkr only problem to me was kind of the script, no joker reference and that damn 8 year gap. I hate how most people are saying that the amazing spider man borrowed from spider man when they both came from comics. And last but not least the avengers i had a problem with this script and trying to be funny and mark not really acting like bruce banner

Yeah I just didn't care about Ghost Rider enough to even see the movie, regardless of how bad it looked or what reviews from fans and critics and general movie-goers say.

For me, it's a toss-up between TASM and TDKR for second and third. I like Batman more than I like Spider-man in general, and I was equally interested in the two movies simply because damn, we've already seen these characters on screen at least three times already.

BUT, in terms of which is the better film, I would say TDKR, probably because of Bane, and I really like Tom Hardy. Neither one of the two gave me the characters I've grown up with, much as I liked Andrew Garfield, his characterization didn't work for me.

BUT, then I get to thinking about Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben - and the dialogue between Ben and Peter were the best parts of the movie. My favorite part was where he purposefully plays dumb to embarrass Peter in front of Gwen at school, and that was also followed by the intense emotional confrontation in their living room. Once Uncle Ben died, the movie died for me.

Batman's a quitter and Peter's a thief and vigilante with NO IDEA how to maintain a secret identity.

But the Avengers rocked my socks.

The Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers are tied for me as far as cbm's of the year, I thoroughly enjoyed both. The Amazing Spider-Man was good I was personally underwhelmed by it though, didn't even bother with Ghost Rider.

@Mr.Duck: The title should have said worst to best, cause I did it for the 4 CBM's of this year and Ghost Rider was the worst.

I'd switch 2 and 3. Didn't like TASM at all.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance was the worst movie I've ever seen and I only saw 6 minutes of it.

Work on your spelling: superheroes.
And don't write the same as you speak.

"after seeing the movie LIKE six or seven times..."

Like has no place in that statement.

The Avengers was great and I intend to see it again on Labor Day and buy the 3d Blu ray when that hits.

Wow! You saw Ghost Rider 6 or 7 times? The force is strong with you. I struggled watching it just that 1 time.
4. Ghost Rider 2 - need I say more
3. The Amazing Spider-man - Meh
2. The Dark Knight Rises - Robin John Blacke? Please!
1. The Avengers - Exactly how you want to see a comic translated on screen
