After watching Ed Norton The Illusionist I was thinking. I know we beat this one up pretty bad. But the ? to the CBM fans. Why not have a Magician play
a Magician. Case in point. We all know Depp has the chows & looks thanks in part of Shaman Nice Artwork (but he forgot the Arched eyebrows LOL). Criss skills are not fake & he is for real. Criss's role model was the Great Harry Houdini, that is a challenge to be as great as he was. Let the ass chewing began. Yes his acting could be in ?

Not even worth considering. A magician's job it to preform magic tricks. An actor's job is to act. Besides it's not like he would do his illusions on film, that's the work of SFX.

Although a cameo for the fans could be interesting.

I swear I heard this rumor before.....

@texasboy, exactly, Magic tricks and acting are not the same thing. He's not even at the proper age. That's like having David Blaine play doctor fate. It just wouldn't work.

@ texasboy in all fairness Criss does his own illusions hence the fact he has his own show MindFreak. An act is a performance. But your point is taken.

@ SuperM. David Blaine has nothing on Criss. Criss is a way better performer magician, illusionist, musician, escapologist, and stunt performer. Besides u wear make up on movies so why couldnt' it work. David Blaine for Dr. Fate would be such a no go.

he is real lol, grow up, its all camera tricks, paid audiences and green screens. Im pretty sure this guy is one of the most hated magicians out there cuz hes soooooo fake. Ya cast him if you want the movie to immediately fail before ever even shooting a scene. dumbest fancast i have ever seen.

@Spock, I wasn't comparing David to Criss, just using David as another example as to why Magicians aren't necessarily best for these roles. BTW, Criss doesn't really look enough like Dr. strange to play the part, even with aging make up

wtf? Criss Angel himself has said that his magic isnt real. He has his own show here in Vegas and has the worst reviews of any other shows here. This guy is stupid, please dont even put him in the same sentence as Dr. Strange unless its "Criss Angel will never play Dr. Strange."

Wow I know I would strike a nerve on this, but really It was just an idea I never said I wanted him to play Dr. Strange. I mean REALLY its no worse then Megan Fox's acting. She is fine with her Enhance beauty (surgery, make-up et.), but she has had only supporting roles. Nothing that will make me say she is a great actress. @ least he has some skills in his ability for Magic etc.

@supermarioworldE I know u didn't I was just pointing out David & Criss aren't in the same league. I will just say he has better stage performance than David.

@ Cap i never been to Vegas & is his ratings that bad? Damn!

@ Grif don't be to insulted It was just an idea, maybe not a good one, I did say early his acting would be in ?.

Ya spock... when I was in Vegas over the summer, his show was the only one my friends and I were actually told NOT to go to. Angel is a hack and a douche.

Hold on now, the concept is on the right path. I cannot remember the exact movie, but when it came to casting, they sought out fighters who could act, rather than actors who could fight.

there is a difference.

Now, for Angel? its all a hoax. He also is a better "actor" than other magicians I have seen. But I am sure there are better.

Look at Max Maven, he is clearly more "Strange" (better Baron Mordo) looking than Angel, but I doubt he could act.....
