Michael Fassbender as Captain Britain (Brian Braddock)
The character was originally meant to be the British equivalent of Captain America. Endowed with extraordinary powers by the legendary magician Merlyn and his daughter Roma, Captain Britain was assigned to uphold the laws of Britain.

Initially a supporting character in the adventures of her fraternal twin brother, Captain Britain (in which she briefly substited for him in the role) she later became the mutant superheroine Psylocke.
Keeley Hawes as Meggan
Born in a blizzard to a Roma family near Fenborough Station in Britain, Meggan adapted to the cold by growing fur, to the horror of her family. Eventually, she met Captain Britain and fought him, but then befriended him. She fell in love with him, joining him as an adventurer, stabilized her powers on an attractive form that pleased Brian (and thus pleased her)
Gerard Butler as Jamie Braddock
The elder brother by a decade of Brian Braddock and Elizabeth Braddock, he is a mutant who has the ability to manipulate reality. Unfortunately, he also believes that the "real world" as we perceive it is nothing but a dream and that he must be the one dreaming it, which makes him essentially insane.
Ryhs Ifans as Dai Thomas
A police officer who is normally a close ally of Captain Britain.
Burn Gorman as Pete Wisdom
Wisdom is a former British Secret Service agent with the mutant ability to throw "blades" of energy ("hot knives") from his fingertips. He is later ordered by MI-13 to find and team with Captain Britain.
Jason Statham as Slaymaster
Slaymaster first encounters Captain Britain while carrying out an assassination, managing to defeat the Captain. Slaymaster confronts Captain Britain and defeats Betsy Braddock by gouging out her eyes. In a fit of rage Captain Britain defeats Slaymaster and kills him, crushing his head with a boulder.
Daniel Craig as Merlyn
Merlyn claims to be the Merlin of British Legends and has served for many years as the Omniversal Guardian. Merlyn chose Brian to become Earth 616's Captain Britain and he would be pivotal to Merlyn's plans. Over the years, Merlyn manipulated Brian to become a stronger and wiser hero.
Keira Knightly as Roma
The daughter of Merlyn, Roma is the Omniversal Guardian, charged with the safety of the Omniverse. Roma, then calling herself "the Lady of the Northern Skies," appeared to Brian Braddock and offered him the chance to become a hero.
Kelly Reilly as Saturnyne
She is the Omniversal Majestrix of Otherworld, and a servant of Roma, charged with the safety of the Omniverse.
