First of all, this is my reaction to the "Dylan Dog: Dead of Night" film:
It officially takes the cake for "Worst CBM of the Year".
Anyway, I want Guy Ritchie to direct this. I'm a big fan of his work and this would seem like a good project for him to work on.
Heroes:
Sam Riley as Dylan Dog: A former Scotland Yard member turned "Nightmare Investigator". He stands out with his melancholy personality, his fears (notably claustrophobia, fear of bats, and fear of heights), apathy for modern technology, and his choice of clothing (black jacket, red shirt, and blue jeans). He carries a .38 caliber Webley revolver, tucked in his pants.
Reason for Casting: He was impressive in "Control" (where he played Ian Curtis, the lead singer of my favorite band, Joy Division), and "Brighton Rock".
Matt Smith as Groucho: A Groucho Marx impersonator and Dylan's sidekick.
Reason for Casting: I'm a big "Doctor Who" fan and I thought Matt would be a good pick for this role.
Bob Hoskins as Inspector Bloch: Dylan's former superior in the Scotland Yard and father figure. He is very dismissive of the supernatural and sometimes refers to Dylan as "Old Boy".
Reason for Casting: He impressed me in "The Long Good Friday" and "Hollywoodland".
Rose Byrne as Morgana: Dylan's love interest.
Reason for Casting: I liked her performance in "Sunshine".
Villains:
Robert Carlyle as Dr. Xabaras: A biologist working on an immortality serum who accidentally raises a horde of the undead.
Reason for Casting: He's an awesome actor and was great in "28 Weeks Later".
