Regarding the Giant origins I've been doing, this was, without a doubt, the hardest to both cast and script.

As a young teen, Shiro Yoshida first discovered his mutant power during an argument between his father, a member of the UN, and his uncle, Tomo. His mother jumped in between her brother and husband so as to calm them down and was struck, and subsequently knocked hard to the ground, by her brother. Enraged, his body began to glow. His mother instantly jumped up and ran over to him in a panic, wanting only to protect him. The radiation from his body caused her to die a slow and painful death in the hospital from radiation poisoning.

The ramifications were even worse. The causation of her death pulled Shiro and his father from one another. His uncle used the separation and despair to his advantage. He tutored the boy in becoming a deadly weapon and master assassin, garnering Tomo a great deal of money.

Shiro is introduced to another mutant assassin known as Blindspot. The 2 attempt to find the scientist who was responsible for creating adamantium bonding process, looking to cash in on the weapon. There journy takes them beyond Japan. In there trek, they find that he has already been murdered, as well as finding kinship in each other.

When they return, a mutant known as Moses is responsible for the recent environmental damage and threatened to wipe out Japan if he was not named it's new Emperor. He is beaten by Shiro and Blindspot, who wipes his memory clean.

Due to Moses, Shiro's father and uncle get into a heated debate. His uncle wants to use his brother-in-law's position within the UN to use Moses as a weapon against the US and other powerful nations. The debate ends in the murder of Shiro's father.

Upon hearing the news, Shiro literally and figuratively explodes with rage, instantly killing Tomo. The radiation and flames were so immense (his skin cracked) that Blindspot could not stop him.

In that same moment, Apocalypse appeared. "Come with me Shiro. With my help, you will conquer all of your demons, now and forever." He adds, "I will transform you into a weapon the world will fear." En Sabah Nur disintegrates Blindspot. "She was usless. Use that rage, it will benefit you."

Vengeance and power, in return for his service as one of Apocalypse's new Horsemen. Moses was a pawn of Apocalypse used to test the young mutant's powers.

Sunfire accepted, but after being chained away and locked in a prison while listening to the tortured screams of Gazer (another of the new Horsemen), Sunfire tried to escape. Unable to leave Gazer to his fate, Sunfire went back to free him. However, Gazer's transformation to the Horseman 'War' had already been completed and War attacked Sunfire. Captured again, Sunfire was transformed into the Horseman of Famine.

Shiro broke free from Apocalypse's control, something no one had ever done before, and attacked Pestilence, Death and War. He managed to kill all 3. Apocalypse beats him down like a rag doll. "I will be back for you, Famine, my Horseman." He restores his health and discards his body.

A few days later, at his father's funeral, Xavier approaches him, asking for his aid in locating his original students.

B.D. Wong as Hiro Yoshida

Law and Order: SVU

THE HERO: The father of the mutant, Sunfire and (the non-existant for story purposes) Sunpyre. A member of the UN and a widow.

THE ACTOR: From Oz to SVU he is truly a captivating actor. He needs to be such a strong rolemodel, and so distant that it kills Shiro. Wong has that potential.

***I could not find a pic of his father (whose name I made up) so I chose a pic of Sunfire, figuring they may resemble one another

Hiroyuki Sanada as Tomo Yoshihiro (retconned into Hiro's in-law rather than blood)

Rush Hour 3

THE VILLAIN: Tomo is, essentially, the devil on the shoulder of Shiro. All the bad things that Shoro does and all the bad things that happen to him are a result of Tomo's invovlment.

THE ACTOR: The first man I thought of for the role. There is an evil look in his eyes and he would be a perfect counter-balance to Wong.

***having changed his bloodline I changed his last name

Joan Chen as Mitsuko Yoshoda

Crouching Tiger

THE HERO: The mother, who's name means "child of light," of Shiro who dies rushing to (what she believes to be) the aid of her radiating child.

THE ACTRESS: Her beauty and the wisdom she emits were just 2 of the reasons I chose her.

***I also gave her a name and used a pic of Mariko, as they are related and may look alike

Rain as Sunfire

Ninja Assassin

THE HERO: A mutant with the ability to absorb solar radiation, and convert it to ionize matter into a fiery plasma state which bursts into flame when exposed to oxygen. He can release this energy as blasts of searing heat, deadly radiation, explosive concussive force, or simple flames. By focusing his aura he is able to fly. After his augmentation by Apocalypse his body becomes a vessel of solar energy and would look exactly like the comics version of the same incident.

THE ACTOR: Originally, I wanted to cast very young, but this is where I ended up. He was very impressive in Assassin, however.

Chiaki Kuriyama as Blindspot

KillBill

THE HERO: Little is known of the origin of Blindspot but what is known is that she and Sunfire had worked together back when Sunfire was still working with his uncle, Tomo. Blindspot had the ability to erase and restore memories at will. The 2 were on a mission to steal Lord Dark Wind's adamantium bonding process. On arrival, they discovered that his daughter, who was now Lady Deathstrike, had already killed him. Blindspot is able to selectively absorb the memories of others and store them within her own mind.

THE ACTRESS: Based on performance in KillBill, Kuriyama was my first choice after settling on the appropriate ages.

Adewale Akinnuoye Agbaje as Moses

Congo

THE VILLAIN: Moses is an arms dealer and terrorist. Magnum was born in Ethiopia. Magnum was sought out by Apocalypse and granted superhuman powers. His powers included superhuman strength and geologically-based powers to cause earthquakes and sense disruptions in the Earth. He threatened to create earthquakes to sink Japan unless he was named the nation's Emperor.

THE ACTOR: Most notable on this site for being chosen as Black Panther or Panther related characters, I think the Oz alumni is perfect for the deadly terrorist. His look and attitude fit Moses better than any other actor I could think of.

Dennis Haysbert as Apocalypse

The Unit

THE VILLAIN: In 3000 BC, in Egypt, he was born gray-skinned and blue-lipped with natural facial markings, in the settlement of Akkaba. He was abandoned as an infant, but found by a band of desert nomads called the Sandstormers, whose leader, Baal, saw the child's potential power and decided to raise him as his own naming him En Sabah Nur. He is taught the philosophy that the tribe lives and dies by, survival of the fittest. Nur and Baal are the only Sandstormers to survive on the day that General Ozymandias and his army destroy the Sandstormers tribe, as they find refuge in a sacred cave before it collapsed. Baal eventually dies from lack of nourishment after weeks of deprivation, but before he does, he admits to Nur that he had believed him to be a savior foretold in ancient prophecies who is destined to overthrow the pharaoh Rama-Tut. The young Nur vows to take revenge on the pharaoh and claim his destiny. He hides himself as a slave in Tut's city, where he has visions of Egyptian gods who reveal his great destiny. Apocalypse spends many years hidden, but awakes from his slumber almost a century earlier than he had planned. Apocalypse decides to examine the world and determine its conditions for testing. He grants superhuman powers to the terrorist known as Moses. who does his bidding by testing the strong and winnowing the weak, battling Sunfire. Apocalypse later recruits mutants to serve as his Four Horsemen.

THE ACTOR: I looked at 1/2 a dozen people for this role. Back in my '93 X-Men cast I chose Christopher Walken for his creepiness. Apocalypse does not always have to be this big, hulking man in my opinion. Sometimes, it's all about the delivery. Michael Clarke Duncan is very good for this role, however, his acting isn't stellar, just pretty good. This led me to choosing another guy who towers at 6'5" and has a voice that can cause mountains to crumble; his acting is also unmatched.

Derek Mears as Caliban (Death)

Friday the 13th

THE VILLAIN: A morlock who served willingly as Death. As Death, he attained superhuman strength, speed, agility, reflexes, coordination, balance, and endurance, as well as claws and fangs, through Apocalypse's genetic manipulation. He also has great skill at climbing and possesses superhuman leaping ability.

THE ACTOR: Again, at 6'5", Mears is Caliban. I was originally going for mocap with Doug Jones, a favorite of mine, but I like using the real deal when possible. Right away, I turned to Mears for that.

Terry Crewes as Gazer (War)

The Expendables

THE VILLAIN: Forced to battle Dr. Foster, a human archeologist who had stumbled upon Apocalypse's tomb, for the "right" to become War, Horseman of Apocalypse. Gazer went through a terribly painful process where his skeleton was stretched, Sunfire, who was also chosen by Apocalypse to be a Horseman, tried to save him but Gazer had already been under Apocalypse's mind-control by then and helped recapture Shiro. After he was taken by Apocalypse and transformed he possessed super-strength and enhanced durability, and the ability to absorb and rechannel solar energy as blasts of fire through his eyes (although, Shiro, enhanced as well, was to much for him). He also carries a spiked mace which flashes with electricity-like bursts, and rides a robotic horse-like flying machine.

THE ACTOR: Initially, I was going to use Duncan after deciding not to use him as Apocalypse. I felt Duncan was better than that, even if he wasn't good enough for Apocalypse. Crews is very good to me but not great. This a suitable role for him as this is the level I feel he is at in his ability to act. Much better than some but not as good as others. He would own this role though.

Moon Bloodgood as Thornn (Pestilence)

Terminator Salvation

THE VILLAIN: Formerly had a feline mutation that endowed her with a thin layer of orange and white fur covering her body, sharp claws and fangs, pointed ears, enhanced senses, night vision, strength, speed, agility, reflexes, coordination, balance, endurance and healing ability as well as a prehensile tail.

**** Thornn never was a Horseman. I picked her because she was a Morlock. She isn't the most important one, therefor she could be used and abused in this story and her look and abilty make her more exciting than most of the lesser Morlocks.

THE ACTRESS: I have no reason why I should not pick her.

Daniel Craig as Professor X

Bond films

Im sticking with the American-accented, tough looking, middle-aged professor from (originally my non-cannon Warpath fancast as well as)the previous Giant-size X-Men origins mentioned above
