Halloween, referred to in Film Circles as "The Perfect Storm" [ At least, around here, it is ] was the perfect Baby sitter Slasher film, blown up over time with demanding popularity, becoming more than what it was ever dreamed to be. John Carpenters "Halloween" is A movie which will be remembered throughout ages of Film Fanatics, Movie-goers and Cinema Cult Fans. The brilliance of Carpenters movie however, was utterly ruined by the 2007 catastrophe, so blatantly named "Halloween". In order to restore Carpenters brilliance, I have put together my own "Fancast" of what I would deem as an appropriate cast to portray the characters along with An appropriate choice of Director.
First.
Director -
Marcus Nispel
Marcus Nispel has directed several movies in the last decade, which were remakes of Classic Horror Movies. His List of directorial pieces consists of the following. Friday the 13th( 2009 ), Texas Chainsaw Massacre( 2003 ) and Conan the Barbarian( 2011 ). While he may not have an extensive nor astonishing list of films under him, he does seem to be the "go to guy" in hollywood for remakes these days. Plus, I thought he did A fantastic job with both Friday and TCM [ I cannot add Conan, as I have not seen it ] albeit, Marcus Nispel would be my "Go to Director" for this project.
Cast -
Laurie Strode -
Intelligent, attractive yet humble Laurie Strode. A young woman surrounded by all of the hashings of teenage life, who lives life on A straight and Narrow path, albeit every now and then slipping up just a bit. [ Yes, Laurie Smoked a little weed in her day ]
Danielle Panabaker - Panabaker, is an up and coming starlett in my opinion, and has already starred in several horror films to date. Including, the Marcus Nispel work Friday the 13th. However, I find she would be more useful in the role of Humble babysitter extraordinaire, Laurie Strode. While she is extremely attractive, panabaker exudes A sense of innocence about her, which she displayed brilliantly in friday the 13th, as well as Sky High. For her true ability to act in front of the camera, I refer to one " Mr. Brooks" where she played the daughter of brilliant personality challenged murderer Jane Brooks.
Dr. Sam Loomis -
Obsessive Dr. Sam Loomis, A mind plagued by the evils of Michael Myers. He hunts down the shape with an unrelenting thirst, to rid the world of evil. A good man, at heart, loomis will stop at nothing to find michael, and stop him from killing laurie strode, or anyone else who gets in michaels way.
Anthony Hopkins - One of the greatest actors in the world, in my personal opinion. Donald pleasance was a man who knew how to bring personality to his character. His voice alone, the way he spoke to michael is something very few actors have the ability to do. Anthony Hopkins is one of those few iconic actors, who alone would make this movie worthwhile to watch. It seems that Dialogue is anthony's strong suit, as was donald pleasance.
Sheriff Leigh Brackett -
Over protective father of annie brackett, and the sheriff of Haddonfield, protector of its inhabitants. A Strong willed officer of the law, whom is contacted by dr. loomis, about michael myers having escaped from the mental institution Smiths grove sanitarium. Skeptical of loomis, leigh eventually turns to aid the dr. once discovering his own daughter has been victimized by myers.
Daniel Day Lewis - Another of the greats of our time, Lewis has protrayed the near exact character I see in my head when I depict him as Leigh Brackett in several movies. Lewis is an A list actor, who can bring A true emotional existance to bracket during the final scenes when he has discovered his dead daughter annie brackett. Also, giving him a role in the sequel beside loomis as the vengeful father out to rid the world of the monstrosity that murdered his child. Lewis is in my opinion the perfect man to play sheriff leigh bracett.
Annie Brackett -
High school popular girl, annie bracket, is best friends with laurie strode. Her popular demeanor, and attractive qaulities lead her life down the path to meeting michael myers. Although attractive, annie displays a bit of witty humor, but seems to be constantly getting herself into unconventional situations [ Stuck in A window huh? oh hush, it could happen to anybody ]
Alexis Knapp -
Although not an up and comer like Danielle, A young girl with the ability to be laughed at, because she got stuck in a window, while wearing only a t-shirt isn't hard to come by. But this young lady can still act in front of a camera decently, such as in percy jackson and the olympians, and project X, shes also in the upcoming Pitch Perfect.
Lynda Van Der Klok -
The prom queen sort of material, a real beauty, with only one thing on her mind. enjoying life the way it was meant to be enjoyed, at least in her opinion. Lynda Van der klok, was A cheerleader who rarely paid any mind to her schooling, and known to be very ditzy. Lynda tends to be very outspoken in her ways, and was always into trending.
Aly Michalka -
The very epitome of Lynda Van der Klok, A gorgeous blonde, with an atheltic body for cheerleading. Very outspoken and demanding, as in phil of the future. an extremely ditzy personality in cowbells, and trending with horror movies in her adult life, aly michalka seems to have been born to play the next Lynda Van Der Klok, with her extensive [ for being so young ] time in front of the camera, shes great in Easy A, is great in the tv series Hellcats, and the room mate. Plus.. who doesnt want to see her tits haha.

Michael Myers is the epitome of evil, trickery, and the monster hiding in the shadows. In some cases, he is called the ultimate prankster, possesed by the trickster like spirit of halloween. In other cases, he is known to people as the ultimate evil, a being who stalks and kills for no evident reason except to do so. In this case, he is both [ But still not the massive homicidal maniac running around in rob zombies halloween ]
Gaspard Ulliel -
Tying in the in joke about my two main characters in this movie, anyone who has seen the entirety of the Hannibal Lecter series will understand this inside connection. Gaspard Ulliel in my opinion, is a brilliant young actor, just the right age to play michael myers. Now I know most of you Halloween fans are saying, why not pull A carpenter, and use a stunt guy.. well.. for this reason.. I want an actor with the ability to display a visual of emptiness, and evil incarnate through his facial expressions. although it would very rarely be done in my personal depiction, there would be moments where Michaels eyes seem to do the speaking for his scenes, and gaspard ulliel has those dark menacing and evil eyes that I so desperately seek. Now the main thing an actor needs for the role of michael myers is balance.. there is no emotion in his movement.. he comes off as robotic.. and inhuman the way he moves. Gaspard, for the role of Hannibal in "Hannibal Rising" leanred how to handle A very delicate weapon. The Katana, which requires precise body movements and control in order to wield one properly, meaning he has learned how to control his balance. He's also the right age, and size to play the correct michael myers, a mid twenties, five ten/five eleven man who looks to be, a completely normal young man at first glance. These are the reasons i have chosen Gaspard Ulliel as Michael Myers.
