Just A Few Minor Thoughts On The Dark Knight Rises

Some interesting points that came to me.

So I have been avoiding spoilers for The Dark Knight Rises but two things came to mind when I was in the shower...

1) In Batman Begins when Batman tells Commissioner Gordon that it wasn't Cranes master plan to poison the city he says something like..."no its something worse" Could he be in fact alluding to Bane, considering he thought Ras was dead?

2) The Mask that Bane uses... what if he uses it because of the fire Bruce caused at the League of Shadows house in the mountains in Batman Begins... Maybe Bruce was the direct cause of Banes respiratory problems?

Anyways I wouldn't go in depth because I have a knack of getting carried away, but just like Huggy Bear I lay it out for yall to play it out...

Yes the fire and the fact Bane needed a respritory breathing help is the first thing I thought of was it was cause of Bruce. So obviously he knows who he is and wants some sort of vengence as well as carry out Ra's plan

To answer ur first question...NO, hes not alluding to Bane, when Gordon asks if Crane was working for Falcone, Batman says " No, he mentioned someone else...someone worse ". Moments before this conversation, Batman questions Crane about who hes working for and Crane mentions Ras Al Ghul, so Batman was hitning at Ras when talking to Gordon, not Bane.

He says: "He mentioned someone else, someone worse" I think, so I don't think he is eluding to Bane.

How with rumors of flashbacks and Neeson, I no doubt believe this is another attack by the league, but perhaps, where the league in the past was controlled by a leader who wanted to restore order, under Banes leadership, things have become personally and maybe a tad more brutal.

@Brose ...that could be a great way to explain why Bane has breathing problems and his connection to Ras and The League that he was in the bulding when Bruce set it on fire and blames him for everything...

Heres another idea:

What if they reveal Bane was one of the masked henchmen during Bruce's " fear test " during his training with The League and re-show that scene from Bane's point of view when lined up with the other men.

@Griffy

It wold make perfect sense that Bane was there during Bruce's training, was maybe a bit envious of the attention he was getting from Ras and " studied him " early on while he was there. Then when the house was set on fire, with Bruce leaving Ras with the villager and returned back to Gotham, maybe Bane saw the opportunity to get in his good graces and helped Ras back to health and as payback began grooming Bane to take over the League for him during the time span Bruce was in Gotham becoming Batman.

@BANE500 Agreed great idea just feel like there is some connection between him and Bruce that makes it personal... any other ideas?

The "fire" theory has been around for a while now and I would not be surprised if it came true to some effect.

@Brose

I've got one more idea id like to shoot out there:

Last week or so it was reported some people got an early viewing of the movie, and it was said that there will be a part in the movie that just may make the public break into tears, my guess is its someones death.

I started to think whos death could impact the public that way, it would have to be someone near and dear to the trilogy as well as to us fans...i'm thinking its Alfred.

In the trailers he seems kind of worn out from his natural years as well as looking after Bruce during his crusade for Gotham, but with Bane in town and Batman both mentally and physically outmatched...I have a feeling there will be a part of the film where Alfred will sacrifice his life in some way for Bruce, not only to show his love and promise to protect him no matter wat, but to show that he's willing to give his life for wat he believes in...that Gotham needs Batman, wether Bruces believes it himself or not.

So IMO, its Alfred that will be die...wether its by Banes hands or not, we'll have to wait and see.

@BANE5000 ya i agree with you dont see anyway you can kill off The Bat, Alfred is the good conclusion there

"A few minor thoughts" belong in a comment section somewhere.

I also thought about the Bane in the fire at Ra's temple. Hense: "The Fire Rises!"

Wouldn't it be cool if Nolan brings back Ra's at the end of the movie. I remember reading tht only three or four people knew how the ending was going to be. How coool would it be if at the end of the move Ra's comes back and he and Batman has to fight again.

This way he could set up more of a fantastical element to the next movies.

Thoughts?
