I've had an idea about this swimming in my head this past week. I Googled the General Zod logo, pasted it into a black canvas on Photoshop, and added some pizazz. Obviously its not the best piece of work that's been shown on this site, but I thought I might as well get some feed back on it.

I'd like to see what you guys think of it, so leave a comment. And as always, do your best to be respectful.

I'm sorry, but I don't think there could be any lazier attempt than this. You adjusted the Bevel/Emboss effect on the logo (which indeed isn't his crest in the movie, anyway) pretty well, to be fair, but you should've at the very least gone with a font far better than Arial. The other option must be transforming it into a full-fledged minimalist poster.

@Jolt17: I didn't use Arial. I don't exactly remember what its called, but I didn't use Arial. I meant for this to be minimalistic.

ElectricSuperman: Yeah, I realize that, but it's still one from the most generic Sans Serif font family. And a minimalist poster doesn't mean it takes a minimal effort to make - quite the contrary, it needs the most creative effort in order to make it both minimalist and effective. Being minimalist doesn't mean that you can't throw in some background images, fit more elements into the poster, have fun with the typography, or work on the details to add more layers into its minimalistic overall look, among other things. Here are a few examples of effective Man of Steel (rather) minimalist posters.

You've got the idea right, but maybe not yet the execution. There's always a room for improvements, though. :)
