My Re-Done Superman Cast

With The Man of Steel picking up steam, I thought I would go back and change a few things from my previous cast...

Here's my story for it.

The film begins with the scientists of Krypton finding a large mass in the center of the planet. They remove it, which is a large, monstrous creature that they name Doomsday. Doomsday is able to destroy most of the planet, before he is captured and shot into space. Months later, Jor-El concludes that the planet will die from an unknown occurrence. When Krypton is being destroyed, Jor-El goes to the computer Brainiac and asks to prepare the escape pod for his newborn son, Kal-El. Brainiac asks about the other children of Krypton. Jor-El says that he wishes he could help them, but he needs to help his son. Kal-El is sent to Earth as Krypton collapses. Kal-El grows up as Clark Kent on Earth and becomes an editor at the Daily Planet. After all of these years, remains of Brainiac are found on a distance planet. Brainiac is reborn and he makes his way to find the blood of the last Kryptonian. Brainiac lands on Earth and takes on the body of local mobster named Milton Fine. Fine takes a job at the Daily Planet where he attacks Clark, revealing him as Superman to the world. Clark and Milton fight, where Clark is able to destroy the connection between Brainiac and Fine and kill him. Brainiac then goes in himself and fights Clark, but is overpowered by Clark. Clark, thinking he has won, takes Brainiac into space and throws him of into the distance. Brainiac flows aimlessly around space, where he is able to locate Doomsday (who escaped his prison), reeking havoc on Oa. The Green Lanterns fight him off before Brainiac is able to capture Doomsday with a shrinking ray he found on Oa. Brainiac returns to Earth, where he sees that Clark is having difficulty adjusting to life with the world knowing his secret. Superman goes to the Fortress of Solitude, where he finds Brainiac waiting for him. Brainiac unleashes Doomsday on Superman and they have a brutal fight, in which Brainiac constantly changes the hologram of where they are fighting (to confuse Superman about his surroundings and to give Doomsday more objects to hurt Superman with). Doomsday seemingly kills Superman. Brainiac leaves his body to rot in the Fortress while he and Doomsday slowly destroy Earth, in order to build a new Krypton, using Clark’s blood to create the new Kryptonians. Superman’s remains are taken by a robot servant in the Fortress, who was deprogrammed temporarily during the fight. The robot begins to nurse him back to health. All while this happens, Brainiac and Doomsday are destroying the planet, having destroyed Metropolis. Lex Luthor finds out that Brainiac has the blood of Superman, and intends to steal it. After months, Superman returns with long hair. In order to fully fight Brainiac and Doomsday together, Superman creates a black suit that will gather all of the force of the Sun into him. Superman confronts the duo and a large fight breaks out. Out of anger for everything that has happened, Superman kills Brainiac and Doomsday. Having lost much blood during the fight, Superman faints. When he comes to, he flies to Metropolis and sees all the destruction that has happened. He sees a newspaper on the ground that says politician Morgan Edge will help bring Metropolis back to its glory. Superman drops the paper and continues to look for any sign of life in the ruined city (mainly Lois Lane). The screen cuts to black as he begins to worry and shout out her name.

DIRECTOR/ZACK SNYDER

It's been confirmed already, so yeah.

Films directed...
Watchmen
Dawn of the Dead
300

PERRY WHITE/ALEC BALDWIN

My original choice was for Frank Langella to come back, but Baldwin suits the role much more.

Featured in...
30 Rock
The Departed
The Aviator

JIMMY OLSEN/ANTON YELCHIN

He's a fan favorite, so I thought I'd put him in.

Featured in...
Terminator Salvation
Charlie Bartlett
Alpha Dog

LOIS LANE/OLIVIA WILDE

I think that she could really work well as Lois. She's beautiful and a great actress. She could really pull off Lois' personality.

Featured in...
Alpha Dog
House
Tron Legacy

BRAINIAC/HUGO WEAVING

He just screams Brainiac.

Featured in...
Lord of the Rings trilogy
V for Vendetta
The Matrix trilogy

MILTON FINE/SAM WORTHINGTON

I think Worthington's a good actor and I'd like to see what he could do with the role.

Featured in...
Avatar
Macbeth
Clash of the Titans

JOHNATHAN KENT/BRUCE GREENWOOD

I think he can do it well.

Featured in...
Star Trek
Batman: Under the Red Hood
Dinner for Schmucks

MARTHA KENT/JULIANNE MOORE

I think she could do it well as well.

Featured in...
Children of Men
Eagle Eye

DOOMSDAY/CGI

Pretty obvious.

LEX LUTHOR/SEAN PENN

I just thought I'd put in someone different.

Featured in...
Milk
Mystic River
All the King's Men

And finally...

Some of you may hate this and some of you may love it...

SUPERMAN/ARMIE HAMMER

After watching The Social Network, I saw that this guy has some real talent. He has a deep commanding voice, he pretty tall, he's in great shape, he's American, and he's a great actor. This guy could really pull of a badass Superman. Go see Social Network and you'll see that he is a really talented guy.

Well, I hope that you guys enjoyed my story and cast.

Tell me what you think in the comments below. ;)

The only one I don't like is Penn as Luthor.

The rest are EPIC! Wilde(my wife) and Hammer are perfect!

@NightAvenger Thanks. Who would you cast as Luthor?

A big [frick] NO to Amy Hammer! Yet ANOTHER scrawny Superman fan cast, WTF! He's the BOY WONDER.

Not sure about the Superman pick
and Im hoping there will be no
need o Luthor.

It's time to move on to some more
villians on the same power level
as Superman.

At this piont Im not sure Hollywood
can put together a good SUPERMAN
MOVIE or T.V. show. So far they've
fallen short on both accounts in my opinion
and I dont want to hear about 1978 SUPERMAN
I didnt care for it then and cant STAND it now!!

Well keeping my fingers crossed...BLADE,BATMAN,SPIDER-MAN,
HULK,WATCHMEN,and IRON-MAN seem to have figured it out
so maybe this time SUPERMAN will get it right for
a change.

Nice cast. Seen ALOT of these choices before.

I agree with AGER. You should you should have pics of their characters aswell. Your not the only one doing this but alot of fancast don't seem to have good pics an stuff.

See JOSIE's article about making a prefect fan fic.

This is however a good cast and I wouldn't mind seeing Armie Hammer as Supes.

Penn's too short to play Lex. Lex should
be someone taller and more commanding!
Sean Penn is a midge! LOL

The rest are great!

Armie is alright as another candidate for
Supes but his acting is a little less than
to be desired for the role!

Where's the comic character's pictures?
You need to show the very characters you are
casting along with the actors, after all it
"IS" a Comic Book Movie you're casting!

I like your story!
I would go for Joe Manganiello or Taylor Kitsch as Supes and
Michael C Hall as Lex

@LEEE lol Yeah I can never find a perfect choice for Supes, so I'm always changing. I didn't upload pics of the characters because I can never find any good ones

arm and hammer?
never seen him act and he doesn't really look the part but i don't know
Ranger14
Ranger14 - 10/13/2010, 10:35 PM
I still think Hammer doesn't have quite the Superman look. Here's an unknown that has been brought up in some discussions. He has a solid build, theater background...just can't find the guy's height anywhere. He appears to be relatively tall. Going to keep digging. Spencer Conway. If that doesn't scream Superman...I don't know what does. He even has the natural hair part. ;-)

I'm lucky enough to know Spencer (and think he'd be great as Superman) - since people seem to want to know, he's 6'1".
