Nightmare On Elmstreet: Who's The Next Freddy?

When the 2009 remake failed to live up to expectations, I began to wonder, should've Freddy been someone else? Tell me what you think in the comments below.

Robert Knepper

He's played a creep many times before and doesn't he just screamj: "PSYCHO KILLER!? I think he would OWN. He kinda reminds me of a younger Englund.

John Malkovich

See Above Entry (Except The Englund Part)

Steve Buscemi
Still The same reason(Except The Englund Part)

Hmmm the next Freddy, I heard about this actor from Glendale California, I think his name was Robert Englund, he might be good in the role.

I think Haley was perfect but the movie was poor, I'm hoping for a sequel though.

First off, it was 2010
Second, it was sucessful, just not with critics. Numbers dont lie.
3rd, Jackie Earle Haley is Freddy now, take it or leave it.
Last, no offense, but none of these guys will ever come close to Robert Englund or Haley.

Jackie Earl Hayley was perfrect for Freddy,BUT the probelm about the movie is there's abosoloutly no gore at all. Also freddy talks too much and dosen't have that atitude from eunglund's freddy.

Knepper would be dope.

Haley was good, the make-up sucked though. It wasn't R rated like it shouldve been.

Teabag as Freddy! I like that casting. It's right up his alley. He was excellent on Prison Break.

Eric Ladin, someone post a pic, he looks like a young Robert Englund, it's weird, and he has a pretty epic voice, See inFAMOUS 2!

@Gamester76
Sorry, I was thinking of The Friday The 13th Remake.
2nd It was financially successful grossing $115,664,037 also Nightmare on Elm Street broke the record for midnight openings for a horror film, which was previously held by the Friday the 13th remake in 2009 that grossed $1 million. A Nightmare on Elm Street holds a 13% overall approval rating from critics, with an average score of 3.6 out of 10 so most likely, this series will not have a sequel so Haley, as chilling as his performance was, will most likely not reprise the role. I think the film was summarized best by Michael Rechtshaffen, " 1, 2, Freddy's coming for you, 3, 4 we've been there before."

For Everyone who is Pro-Englund, Michael Rechtshaffen also stated in his review, "Even with his electronically deepened voice and a pointless amount of backstory, there's just no replacing Englund". So there you go!

For Everyone who's Pro Haley, Owen Gleiberman said " "I did jump a few times, and I liked Haley's dour malevolence..." AND THANKS TO EVERYONE 4 FEEDBACK!
