{Note: The inclusion of Dynamite Entertainment is due to the fact they own current publishing rights for Red Sonja and Thulsa Doom, Key characters in the Conan Mythos. Whether Universal owns the theatrical rights is unknown to me at this time. While the paring of both Dark Horse and Dynamite is odd, They are Joining together for a Conan/Red Sonja Crossover, so a venture including them in a T.V. Series isn't as odd as it might seem.}

Series Format: 5 or 8 Seasons, long enough to have a sensible dynamic and a good lasting quality. Each season would have either Hour or Hour and a Half episodes, no more than 13 to a Season, maybe spread a month apart if an Hour and a Half or bi-weekly. Basic format for any show really. 13 Episodes on an 8 Season Scale with a total of 104 Episodes. Perfect run for a show of high quality with an Epic Sword/Sandal Fantasy Series. Something Unlike anything on T.V. This is the perfect format for a Conan the Barbarian Series

Executive Producer: An executive producer (EP) enables and backs up the making of a commercial entertainment product. He or she is concerned with management accounting and possibly with associated legal issues (like copyrights or royalties). An EP also contributes to the film's budget, and does not work on set.

Sam Raimi [Notable Works {As A Producer}: Xena Warrior Princess, Hercules The Legendary Journeys, Spartacus {STARZ}]: A huge comic book fan, I always felt Sam would be the right guy to give a unique and original take on Conan the Barbarian. He's produced many many wonderful t.v. Shows and has really shown true talent as a producer. There is no doubt he would give fans of Robert E Howard's Barbarian a show that the character and the fans deserve.

He or she is concerned with management accounting and possibly with associated legal issues (like copyrights or royalties). An EP also contributes to the film's budget, and does not work on set.

Robert Tapert [Notable Works: Xena Warrior Princess, Hercules The Legendary Journeys, Spartacus {STARZ}]: Rob is a great producer, he is a true seasoned veteran and he's done quite legendary and beloved television series. He would be a great person to join a group to produce a wonderful Conan series. No doubt he would be one of the best producers to get Conan on T.V.

He or she is concerned with management accounting and possibly with associated legal issues (like copyrights or royalties). An EP also contributes to the film's budget, and does not work on set.

Damon Lindeloff [Notable Works {As A Producer}: Lost, Crossing Jordan, Star Trek]: A big nerd with lots of money, Damon has been doing quite a bit for nerd culture in Hollywood. He's a dedicated producer and a great hand to have in. I have no doubt Conan would be his type of series and would do a wonderful job bringing the character to the small screen.

Executive Producer: An executive producer (EP) enables and backs up the making of a commercial entertainment product. He or she is concerned with management accounting and possibly with associated legal issues (like copyrights or royalties). An EP also contributes to the film's budget, and does not work on set.

Roberto Orci [Notable Works {As A Producer}: Fringe, Hawaii Five-Oh, Sleepy Hallow]: A wonderful writer, and seasoned television producer. One honestly wonders who would be better to join a team to get a Conan the Barbarian series off the ground.

Executive Producer: An executive producer (EP) enables and backs up the making of a commercial entertainment product. He or she is concerned with management accounting and possibly with associated legal issues (like copyrights or royalties). An EP also contributes to the film's budget, and does not work on set.

Alex Kurtzman [Notable Works {As A Producer}: Fringe, Hawaii Five-Oh, Sleepy Hallow]: He was able to get a series based on the Headless Horseman green-lit. If there is any group that could actually convince studios to do a Conan Series, Alex is definitely apart of it.

Producer: Film producers prepare and then supervise the making of a film before presenting the product to a financing entity or a film distributor. They might be employed by a film studio or be independent, yet either way they helm the creative people as well as the accounting personnel.

Charles Knight [Notable Works: Power Rangers: Dino Thunder, Spartacus {STARZ}, Mercy Peak]: He's a dedicated Producer. He helped keep the legend of Spartacus alive and well and now it's time for him to set his sights on Conan. No doubt Conan is a character that has earned his mark in history and Charles seems to be successful at producing series based on such legends.

Producer: Film producers prepare and then supervise the making of a film before presenting the product to a financing entity or a film distributor. They might be employed by a film studio or be independent, yet either way they helm the creative people as well as the accounting personnel.

Martin Wood [Notable Works {As A Producer}: Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Sanctuary]: He's produced television series and even directed episodes. His best work comes in the form of Stargate. He's really went to bat for the franchise and has hit either home runs or at the very least a good base hit. He's definitely an individual you want to produce Conan.

Producer: Film producers prepare and then supervise the making of a film before presenting the product to a financing entity or a film distributor. They might be employed by a film studio or be independent, yet either way they helm the creative people as well as the accounting personnel.

Stephen Sommers [Notable Works {As A Producer}: The Scorpion King, The Scorpion King Rise of a Warrior, G.I. Joe Retaliation]: Stephen has made some flops, but people tend to forget he's made some genially fun and enjoyable movies. I think honestly he would be a wonderful person to step in and produce Conan the Barbarian. He's smart individual and I think that he based a lot of the Scorpion King on Conan. No doubt he would be a good person to help get this done.

Producer: Film producers prepare and then supervise the making of a film before presenting the product to a financing entity or a film distributor. They might be employed by a film studio or be independent, yet either way they helm the creative people as well as the accounting personnel.

David Hayter [Notable Works {As A Producer}: Burn, Lost In Oz]: While his producing Credits aren't lengthy, it would be good for him to produce this, it would fluff out that part of his filmography and Honestly i feel like he's definitely someone you want to work on Conan, he has the right spirit about it.

Costume Designs: A costume designer is a person who designs costumes for a film or stage production. The role of the costume designer is to create the characters and balance the scenes with texture and color, etc.The costume designer works alongside the director, scenic, lighting designer, sound designer, and other creative personnel. The costume designer may also collaborate with hair stylist, wig master, or makeup artist. In European theater, the role is different, as the theater designer usually designs both costume and scenic elements.

Renee April [Notable Works: Pathfinder, 10,000 B.C., Revenge of the Land]: While she hasn't done television series, she has done T.V. Movies. She's immensely talented and has delt with prehistoric or med-evil settings before. Her work in Pathfinder and 10,000 B.C. Really stands out. She designed such fitting yet distinct costumes that it would be simply crazy not to let her design Conan's outfits, and the outfits of his friends and enemies. She would do fantastic, she would give a very authentic look to it.

Production Designs: a production designer or P.D is the person responsible for the overall look of a filmed event such as films, TV programs, video games, music videos or adverts. Production designers have one of the key creative roles in the creation of motion pictures and television. Working directly with the director and producer, they must select the settings and style to visually tell the story.

Robert Gillies [Notable Works: Xena Warrior Princess, Legend of the Seeker, Evil Dead]: Robert has done purely astonishing work. His landscapes, his sets that he designed in Xena, Legend of the Seeker really set up unique civilizations that just echoes the landscapes of Frazetta paintings. He would be such a wonderful person to design the overall look of Hyboria. He could definitely bring Robert E. Howard's world to life.

Series Cinematographer: A cinematographer (usually credited with the title director of photography, or DP) is the chief over the camera and lighting crews working on a film and responsible for achieving artistic and technical decisions related to the image. The study and practice of this field is referred to as cinematography.

Stephen McNutt [Notable Works: Battlestar Galactica, Stephen King's Dead Zone, Helix]: He makes his money, pays his bills by working on T.V. Series. Stephen is a wonderful D.P. His work with Battlestar Galactica really stands out apart from the old series as well as every other space oriented Sci-Fi series we see today. Challenging him with Hyboria would be a real treat.

Series Editor: The film editor works with the raw footage, selecting shots and combining them into sequences to create a finished motion picture. Film editing is described as an art or skill, the only art that is unique to cinema, separating filmmaking from other art forms that preceded it, although there are close parallels to the editing process in other art forms like poetry or novel writing. Film editing is often referred to as the "invisible art."

Louis F. Cioffi [Notable Works: Dexter, Touch, Undressed]: Louis has worked on entire series before. It's pretty much his bread and butter. He's good at what he does and definitely would be great to edit and piece together each adventure of Conan.

Series Theme: A film score (also sometimes called film music, background music, or incidental music) is original music written specifically to accompany a film. The score forms part of the film's soundtrack, which also usually includes dialogue and sound effects, and comprises a number of orchestral, instrumental or choral pieces called cues which are timed to begin and end at specific points during the film in order to enhance the dramatic narrative and the emotional impact of the scene in question.

Hans Zimmer [Notable Works: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception, Gladiator]: While having Hans score the theme for the series is more like the form in which they had Danny Elfman score the theme for Batman the Animated Series, and then let Shirley Walker Score each episode. I think Hans is the right person to actually score the Theme. He has his quest for the perfect drumbeat and I think Conan is a good character where he can really explore that quest, add a sense of barbarianism into the theme it self.

Series Composer: A film score (also sometimes called film music, background music, or incidental music) is original music written specifically to accompany a film.

Joseph LoDuca [Notable Works: Spartacus {T.V. Series}, The Evil Dead, Amy of Darkness]: His work with Spartacus was perfect. He got the feel and the tone of each episodes and each character. While yes I would have Hans produce the theme it would really be Joe who would score each episode and there is no doubt he would be perfect for it.

Showrunner: Showrunner is a term originating in the United States television industry referring to the person who is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a television series—although such persons are generally credited as an executive producer. The term is also occasionally applied to people in the television industries of other countries. The duties of a showrunner often combine those traditionally assigned to the writer, executive producer and script editor. Unlike films, where directors are typically in creative control of a production, in episodic television the showrunner usually outranks the director.

David Hayter [Notable Works {As A Writer}: X-Men, Scorpion King, Lost In Oz]: Hayter is an accomplished writer, on top of his acting and voice acting. He's had a hand in some very major films, especially wonderful ones. His work with Scorpion King kept a good balance of fun and barbarianism. Hayter was really the person I felt could do the most and the best as a Showrunner for Conan. He's got the talent to really carry the show.

Narrator/Chronicler/Robert E. Howard: The voice that introduces the Audience to the series, setting exposition and mood for the episodes or series. In this it would be implied that the voice is that of Robert E Howard. Speaking the Words "Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis and the rise of the sons of Aryas, there was an age undreamed of. And unto this, Conan, destined to wear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I, his chronicler, who alone can tell thee of his saga. Let me tell you of the days of high adventure!"

Vincent D'Onofrio [Notable Works: The Whole Wide World, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Men In Black]: One of the main reasons he's perfect to Chronicle Conan, is that he actually played Robert E Howard in a semi-biopic of the author. Other reasons include that he has such a wonderful and strong and narrative voice that he would add dimensional intent and meaning to each and every word. Vincent is a wonderful actor and has a wonderful voice that is perfect for an Opening Narration and even a series Narration.

Conan The Barbarian [Height: 6' 2", Age: 30's]: Hither came Conan, the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand, a thief, a reaver, a slayer, with gigantic melancholies and gigantic mirth, to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandaled feet. He was born on a battlefield and is the son of a village blacksmith. Conan matured quickly as a youth and, by age fifteen, he was already a respected warrior who had participated in the destruction of the Aquilonian outpost of Venarium. After its demise, he was struck by wanderlust and began the adventures.

Dustin Clare [Height: 5' 10", Age: 32, Notable Works: Spartacus, MacLeod's Daughter, Satisfaction]: The absolute moment I first ever saw this guy, I knew he should play Conan. I had been working the idea of doing this cast a while and when I saw Dustin he replace my earlier choice of Joe Manganiello. Dustin is such a perfect choice that I really couldn't see anyone else working as well for the role. He's got the build and the look of the Conan character, he's familiar with T.V. And he's a fantastic actor.

Corin/Conalder [Height: 6' 2" {Estimated}, Age: 40's-50's]: Father to Conan and blacksmith to the Cimmerian tribe. He taught Conan the ways of a blacksmith and the religion of Crom. He trained his son well, as his son became a fierce warrior.

Kevin Sorbo [Height: 6' 3", Age: 55, Notable Works: Hercules The Legendary Journeys, Kull the Conqueror, Walking Tall: The Payback]: Kevin was truly the first person I cast in this story.

Natala [Height: 5' 6" {Estimated}, Age: 20's]: A blonde slave, who Conan had bought and freed, but instead joined Conan on many Adventures.

Amber Heard [Height: 5' 8", Age: 27, Notable Works: Drive Angry, The Playboy Club, Machete Kills]: She was hard to cast. I really had to find someone who fit in terms of status and talent and I felt Amber was perfect. She has done Playboy Club which is a t.v. Series and I think this is a role that gives her some real fun.

Zenobia of Nemedia [Height: 5' 6" {Estimated}, Age: 30's]: Zenobia is a Nemedian noblewoman and became the queen consort of Conan, King of Aquilonia.

Eliza Dushku [Height: 5' 5", Age: 33, Notable Works: Dollhouse, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Wrong Turn]: Eliza is such a wonderful woman and I wasn't sure whether I could cast her in a role and when I came to cast Zenobia, I wanted a beautiful, wonderful actress. I have no doubt that she could become the woman Conan falls in love with and marries. She is perfect.

Ursla [Height: 5' 6" {Estimated}, Age: 30's]: A former lover of Conan and mother to his young son. An Eskimo Woman who lives in the arctic.

Jamie Chung [Height: 5' 6", Age: 30, Notable Works: Sucker Punch, Premium Rush, Once Upon A Time]: This is more of a growing role for Jamie. She is such a wonderful actress and she has never taken a role in this type of story or type of culture. And it was important to get someone who honestly felt innocent to that experience and to really look into this story with fresh eyes and give a breath of fresh air to the character.

Red Sonja [Height: 5' 8" {Estimated}, Age: 30's]: The Warrior Woman of Hyrkania, Red Sonja is an unparalleled sword-master with vast knowledge and experience in fighting the supernatural.

Alexa Davalos [Height: 5' 7", Age: 31, Notable Works: Clash of the Titans, Mob City, Defiance]: I've always seen Alexa as a wonderful actress and a very strong woman. I always wanted her a warrior and when i did this cast I saw her instantly in the role of Red Sonja.

Bêlit [Height: 5' 7" {Estimated}, Age: 30's]:Bêlit was a fearsome yet beautiful pirate queen of the Hyborian Age who became the lover of Conan the Cimmerian. Often regarded as Conan's first and greatest love, she was tragically killed at the height of their romance.

Lara Pulver [Height: 5' 3", Age: 33, Notable Works: Sherlock, Robin Hood, Legacy]: A spectacular gem best known for her iconic take on Irene Adler in Sherlock. She felt like the logical choice for this type of great love that Conan has. She took Sherlock's heart and she would no doubt take the heart of any other man who eyed her and that was important in doing this character.

Zula [Height: 6' 0" {Estimated}, Age: 30's-40's]: Zula is an ally of Conan and Red Sonja. He is a warrior with a little sorcery under his belt.

David Oyelowo [Height: 5' 10", Age: 37, Notable Works: Five Days, Red Tails, Jack Reacher]: A wonderful performer, but he wasn't my first choice for Zula, but he honestly felt like the best option. No doubt he's done t.v. Before and this is a role that really lets him delve into a whole other persona.

Pelias [Height: 6' 0", Age: 60's]: A wizard and Ally to Conan. I imagine his character in a T.V. Series would serve as council for Conan offering advice for the character and some fatherly reassurance.

Clancy Brown [Height: 6' 4", Age: 55, Notable Works: Superman The Animated Series, Highlander, E.R.]: Clancy is a legend who is not really cast in many big name projects anymore. He's a wonderful actor and I honestly thought he would be perfect for this role. It would be amazing seeing him interact with Conan.

Fafnir [Height: 6' 5" {Estimated}, Age: 40's-50's]: A thief and ally of Conan, who inadvertently cut his arm off.

Ray Stevenson [Height: 6' 4", Age: 49, Notable Works: Rome, Dexter, Thor]: I'd be fibbing if I said his swashbuckler take on Volstagg wasn't an inspiring factor in this choice, but I'd be an outright liar if i said his work as Titus Polo isn't the major reason why. As fantastic an actor as Stevenson is No doubt he would rock this role and be a fun additional supporting character for Conan Adventures.

Valeria The Pirate [Height: 5' 8", Age: 30's]:Valeria of the Red Brotherhood was a pirate and a warrior who made her living on the Vilayet Sea. She was a very beautiful woman, and many men desired her. However, in the primitive society of the Hyborian Age women were generally treated with very little respect, and Valeria often had to threaten, injure, or kill men who were crude about their advances. Valeria was a strong woman, with a keen mind, strong will, and great courage in the face of danger. Conan was infatuated with her, as she earned his respect with her beauty and he poise.

Yvonne Strahovski [Height: 5' 9", Age: 31, Notable Works: Dexter, Chuck, I,Frankenstein]: Yvonne is a wonderful actress. Shes does t.v. Shows like this left and right pretty much and it was important to find a person who would make the character as Iconic as she was when she was played Sandhal Bergman. I think if anyone can Show that type of tough and intimate characterization as Bergman it would be Yvonne.

Fhala Laroughe [Height: 5' 6" {Estimated}, Age: 30's]: Fhala Laroughe is a huntress and warrior woman from Khauran who enlists Conan's help in uncovering the mystery of the disappearance of all the men in a local region of Khoraja.

Bianca Kajlich [Height: 5' 8", Age: 36, Notable Works: Halloween Resurrection, Rules of Engagement, 30 Minutes or Less]: Bianca is an actress I actually admire quite a bit. She always makes sure she's working and she always gives each role her all. I find a certain spunk to her that really gives her movement as an actress and really makes me see her as being more serious than her other roles might envision. I think she would absolutely do this role wonderfully.

Helliana [Height: 6' 0" {Estimated}, Age: 30's]: A friend of Conan, female barbarian and empowered woman.

Adrianne Palicki [Height: 5' 11", Age: 30, Notable Works: Friday Night Lights, G.I. Joe Retaliation, Legion]: When you cast such an empowered woman, you need woman who is empowered. Adrianne is that, empowered, strong, and lovely. She is an actress who is gaining credibility and getting a certain degree of recognition. This would really show her range.

Jiara [Height: 5' 3", Age: 20's-30's]: Jiara is a wench that befriends Conan at a Nemedian tavern. She travels with him as Natala did.

Emmy Rossum [Height: 5' 8", Age: 27, Notable Works: Phantom of the Opera, Dragonball Evolution, Shameless]: A true beauty of both voice and physicality. She's a lovely singer that could add a new dimension to Jiara's character, giving her a brighter outlook compared to Conan's brooding mentality.

Samandra/Lupalina The Wolf Sorceress [Height: 5' 6" {Estimated}, Age: 30's-40's]: Lupalina (a.k.a. Samandra) was a sorceress and warrior woman who lived among the wolves. An ally of Conan

Gabrielle Anwar [Height: 5' 3", Age: 43, Notable Works: Burn Notice, Scent of a Woman, The Tudors]: Gabrielle is a lovely actress. Highly trained and very aggressive when it comes to developing her characters. I love to watch her perform, she has an amazonian quality about her that makes her perfect for Lupalina.

Ixastophanis [Height: 5' 7" {Estimated}, Age: 40's-50's]: A Monk of Mitra, Ally of Conan and spiritual guide.

Faran Tahir [Height: 5' 10", Age: 49/50, Notable Works: Iron Man, Star Trek, Warehouse 13]: Really Faran was the only actor who I could envision in this role. He's a talented actor and often type cast as villains but he does have a heroic side that makes him perfect for Ixastophanis.

Moru [Height: 6' 2", Age: 40's]: A member of a tribe of ancient Indians known as the pict, he was an ally of Conan the barbarian in the hyborian age.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje [Height: 6' 2", Age: 46, Notable Works: Lost, Hunted, Thor Dark World]: Adewale is a pretty damn good actor, He's not often used in fan cast, which is a missing opportunity. He's a great actor and would no doubt be a wonderful addition to the Conan T.V. Series.

Prospero [Height: 6' 0", Age: 40's]: A general of the Aquilonian army, and Ally who helps Conan seize the jeweled crown.

Tim Roth [Height: 5' 7", Age: 52, Notable Works: Incredible Hulk, Lie to Me, Pulp Fiction]: An odd choice for a character who is a general, but Tim is an actor worth pretty much any role. He's up there in age but he's still got some action to his years left. No doubt he could play this role very well.

Zephra [Height: 5' 8" {Estimated}, Age: Unknown]: The beautiful daughter of Zukala, who fell in love with Conan, despite her father's attempts to murder him.

Rosario Dawson [Height: 5' 7", Age: 34, Notable Works: Sin City, Gemeni Division, Clerks II]: Rosario is a very seductive and passionate actress. When I approached casting Zephra, with Zukala already cast I knew i had a small formation in which to cast, but I wanted to take appropriate liberty while casting someone who felt right. And as talented as Rosario is and as powerful as she is she felt like a great fit.

Yag-Kosha [Height: 10' 0"{Estimated}, Age: Unknown]: Yag-Kosha is a being being from beyond the stars enslaved by the evil sorcerer Yara in his tower, keeping as source for his malevolent power. He is vaguely humanoid in form, having eyes, hands, legs, and a mouth capable of speech. His skin is leathery gray, like an elephant, and his head bears many features similar to elephants, such as tusks, large ears, and a trunk.

Rodrigo Santoro [Height: 6' 3", Age: 38, Notable Works: Lost, Sound and Fury, 300]: This is a choice that seemed very outside the box. Rodrigo is a wonderful actor. I wanted to cast him in a roll that really is unlike anything he's done before and honestly this is perfect. As talented as he is, he would definitely bring the Elephant God to life.

Atali [Height: Variable, Age: Unknown]: According to legend, Atali, the daughter of Ymir, the frost-giant visits the sites of recent battles and shows herself to the dying. Tempting men with her naked body gleaming like ivory and her red-gold hair. Luring men from stricken fields into the wastelands to be slain by her brothers, the ice-giants, "who lay men's red hearts smoking on Ymir's board".

Radha Mitchell [Height: 5' 6", Age: 40, Notable Works: Silent Hill, Red Widow, Olympus Has Fallen]: If there is any woman who can really embody an ice goddess like Atali and tempt men, it's Radha. She is a form of pure unadulterated beauty. She's a wonderful and beautiful actress and I have every bit of confidence in her ability to play the role of Atali.

Zukala [Height: 5' 6", Age: Unknown]: A Sorcerer and God who has lorded over groups of Villages, who demanded they pay tax, and when they didn't he sent his daughter after them, This made him target of the villagers who hired Conan to assassinate him.

Lance Reddick [Height: 6' 4", Age: 51, Notable Works: Fringe, The Wire, White House Down]: Lance was suppose to play Ra's Al Ghul on Beware the Batman, and since it got canceled i felt this would be another, fitting role. I imagine Zukala being a character very much like Ra's in demeanor and stature. This would be a way for Lance to show what he had instore for Ra's.

Yezdigerd [Height: 6' 0", Age: 40's]: on of the King of all Turan, Yezdigerd was the Prince of Aghrapur, who prepared his army to invade Makkalet and restore the Living Tarim to his rightful temple in Aghrapur. A Monarch who had made a mistake, ordering death to Conan.

Kevin McKidd [Height: 6' 0", Age: 40, Notable Works: Rome, Grey's Anatomy, Brave]: A wonderful actor who is sought by many fans for many comic book roles. He's a fantastic actor, with a strong sensibility a good voice and a true sense of power. He would make a delightful villain.

Khemsa [Height: 5' 6", Age: 40's-50's]: A sorcerer who is on a quest of Vengeance.

Irrfan Khan [Height: 6' 0", Age: 47, Notable Works: Life of Pi, In Treatment, Amazing Spider-Man]: Irrfan is an amazing actor. He has a subtlety to him that makes him really intimidating and unnerving. He's an actor who completely takes control of his role and really manipulates it. For Khemsa I needed that, someone who can be unnerving and evil.

Captain Bor'Aqh Sharaq [Height: 6' 0" {Estimated}, Age: 30's]: Captain Bor' Aqh Sharaq was a Barachan Pirate and former member of the Red Brotherhood. The Brotherhood was a close knit organization of pirates who harried the western coasts of the Hyborian World, from Zingara in the north, to the Black Kingdoms in the south. Two other well known characters were also members at the same time as Sharaq; Conan of Cimmeria, and Valeria.

Santiego Cabrera [Height: 6' 0", Age: 35, Notable Works: Heroes, Merlin, The Life of Fish]: Santiego has come along way to prove himself as a formidable actor. He's shown immense talent and resolve. This would be a chance for him to really unleash himself as an actor and delve into a villainous role and make him memorable.

Shokkoth [Height: 7' 0" {Estimated}, Age: Unknown]: Shokkoth was a large, powerful creature, likely with some form of enhanced strength and endurance. Shokkoth was invulnerable to iron and conventional weapons, able to snatch away razor sharp swords from opponents with its multicolored jewel-encrusted hands, but proved to be extremely vulnerable to corrosive acids.

Matthew Willig [Height: 6' 6", Age: 44, Notable Works: NCIS, Dexter, The Benchwarmers]: To cast Shokkoth, I needed somebody who has played this kind of monster. A large lumbering person who could be believable in throwing around my Conan choice. Matthew is perfect, he is the exact type of actor I need.

Yara [Height: 5' 9" {Estimated}, Age: Unknown]: The dark Wizard, who sought to enslave the world, having been able to capture and hold the Elephant God.

Sam Neill [Height: 6' 0", Age: 66, Notable Works: Merlyn, Jurassic Park, Alcatraz]: He's best known for Jurassic Park, but the work that he has done that really makes him stand out for this role is his work in the Sci-Fi Series Merlyn. No doubt he would be a perfect actor to take on the role of the Elephant God's capturer.

Ravager of Worlds [Height: 7' 0" {Estimated}, Age: Unknown]: A monster of unholy proportions. An enemy of Conan who could very well cause the Apocalypse.

Kevin Grevioux [Height: 6' 2", Age: Unknown, Notable Works: Underworld {Franchise}, Young Justice, I,Frankenstein]: A wonderful Renaissance man of modern times. He is fans number 1 choice for Killer Croc. It was something important to me, to find a man who would fit the Ravager of Worlds. Kevin after I really thought about it seemed like he was just the perfect choice.

Devourer of Souls [Height: 6' 5" {Estimated}, Age: Unknown]: Massive demonic entity who is one of Conan's most powerful and terrifying enemies. He is both a master swordsman and a practitioner of the dark arts, but his most terrible power is to consume souls.

Tahmoh Penikett [Height: 6' 2", Age: 38, Notable Works: Battlestar Galactica, Man of Steel, Dollhouse]: With roles like this, it's nice that Tahmoh is an actor of incredible size, but also talent. No doubt he's given many roles by fans but this is a role Unique unto them all. It's a villain of supernatural proportions that allows him extend his range just about as far as an actor could hope.

Xaltotun [Height: 6' 0" {Estimated}, Age: 30's-40's]: An Evil Sorcerer, one of many that have challenged Conan.

Ian Anthony Dale [Height: 6' 0", Age: 35, Notable Works: Tekken, The Event, Day Break]: An actor who isn't cast much but deserves to be is Ian. He plays such wonderfully evil characters and heroic ones as well. He a truly gifted actor and is perfect for this role.

Ptor-Nubis [Height: 5 9" {Estimated}, Age: 40's-50's]: A dark sorcerer, enemy to Conan and his friend Zula.

Robert Knepper [Height: 5' 10", Age: 54, Notable Works: Mob City, Prison Break, Transporter 3]: A wonderful actor, and always a worthy addition to any fan cast. Knepper is an actor who really sells his character no matter who they are or how unbelievable they are. He always finds a way to channel them into fantastic performances

Thulsa Doom [Height: 6' 4" {Estimated}, Age: 40's-50's]: Thulsa Doom was an extremely powerful sorcerer, although his abilities did wax and wane under uncertain conditions. He has survived several "deaths" and cannot be killed by conventional means. He can form powerful energy shields, project his astral self, alter his own appearance, manipulate others, grant magical power to others...

Djimon Hounsou [Height: 6' 2", Age: 49, Notable Works: Constantine, E.R., Black Panther]: Djimon's Performance as Midnight in Constantine is really the reason why I believe he would be perfect for Thulsa Doom. As excellent an actor Djimon carries a certain spirit in his performances that make him perfect for this role.

King Numedides [Height: 5' 4" {Estimated}, Age: 40's-50's]: King of Aquilonia before Conan took rule. Many took issue with his rule, as he became a vicious king, which gave cause for Conan to slaughter the King, and his armies. Conan did and strangled the king to death.

Hiroyuki Sanada [Height: 5' 7", Age: 53, Notable Works: The Wolverine, 47 Ronin, Helix]: Hiroyuki has been really building for a role like this in his career. A true king. He had parts of it in The Wolverine and he would be perfect for the role of the ruthless king Numedides.

Thoth-Amon [Height: 6' 0" {Estimated}, Age: Unknown]: A Stygian Sorcerer and the nemesis of Conan. A key villain in the mythology of the famed Barbarian.

Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa [Height: 5' 11", Age: 63, Notable Works: Revenge, Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat Legacy]: I wasn't entirely sure who to cast as Thoth, him being a Stygian, I wasn't sure to let it be a white race, or an Asian race or black race. All I knew was it had to be played by an actor who could play this type of evil being and sell it very very well. Well I thought about it and said "Why Not Cary?" He's a delightful actor, best known for Shang Tsung, and He does all types of projects so it was extremely easy to imagine him as Thoth.

Wow, who knew Conan was such a ladies' man?

Anyway, this is a very ambitious series you have here, nice job!

I hope you turn out for my first fancast of the year, and it's my first all-original idea:

This is based on the comics then? I've only ever read the old Robert E. Howard stories, and I don't recognize all of the characters. But it looks closer than anything we've got to date, so I definitely like it!

Gannicus is an unusual choice, but I could live with not having a huuuuge Conan. Muscles and size are important, but charisma and agility are as well.

I believe Stygians were supposed to be a dark-skinned, middle-eastern/egyptian like people, and Thoth-Amon described as having "dusky skin".

All in all I like most of your casting choices, and would watch this show like crazy! :D

With a cast like this the show/movie could never go wrong.

"Red Sonja and Thulsa Doom, Key characters in the Conan Mythos."

Just realized that while I thought "good casting choices!" I didn't really think about these characters. Both aren't from the original stories, yet seem to be important for Conan now.

I guess I really need to re-read the original Conan stories, and then start expanding my knowledge about the Conan Mythos after Howard. I read through one or two comics that actually were pretty close to the stories I knew, but no novels or comics with completely new stories.

I've seen comics with Red Sonja, but never read one. I'm kind of familiar with the character, but I honestly didn't know she'd become that big a part of the Conan Mythos.

Same with Thulsa Doom. I know they gave that name to James Earl Jones's character in the first Schwarzenegger movie, but I didn't know some version of TD had become an important character in other Conan stories. The Howard character by the same name I believe was a villain in a Kull story.

This is pretty baller. I was a big fan of the Spartacus series so I think putting Conan on Starz is a genius idea. However, shows like this seldom last very long.

Awesome cast! I would definitely watch this if it were on Starz. And what a lovely selection of Ladies!

I would watch this show, and probably adore it.
I have missed Conan the Barbarian casts, and seeing such characters, like Red Sonja, appear makes me more than happy.
You've managed to cast each character, as far as I'm concerned, really well. Your Conan choice is fantastic. Height is just not an issue for me. The actor is more than intimidating already, so why should height matter? I'm also so impressed with your choice of Red Sonja. She is, as I've stated in many of your casts, not conventional. Which I love. Also, you have Eliza Dushku in this one. Everyone knows you can't go wrong with her.

Great cast, once again!

Great cast i think it's amazing.
Conan would work as a tv show rather than a film.
I think it should be influenced by the books and comic books.
I would watch this show if it where made.
