Composer: A film score (also sometimes called film music, background music, or incidental music) is original music written specifically to accompany a film. The score forms part of the film's soundtrack, which also usually includes dialogue and sound effects, and comprises a number of orchestral, instrumental or choral pieces called cues which are timed to begin and end at specific points during the film in order to enhance the dramatic narrative and the emotional impact of the scene in question.

Tyler Bates [Notable Works: Get Carter, Rambo, Doomsday]: He's a fantastic Composer, and honestly he's one of the legends of composing. He's done some great work and He was really the only one I felt could bring back the jazzy score that made the original Lethal Weapon really stand out. If you doubt that take a listen to his score from the Stallone Remake of "Get Carter" that would certainly open you up to the idea.

Screenplay: A screenplay or script is a written work by screenwriters for a film, video game or television program. These screenplays can be original works or adaptations from existing pieces of writing. In them, the movement, actions, expression, and dialogues of the characters are also narrated. A play for television is also known as a teleplay.

Alex Garland [Notable Works: Dredd, Sunshine, 28 Days Later]: Dredd is without a doubt as close to a perfect film on an Independent budget you can make. His script is very solid, all 3 acts a well done, action is well placed, story is perfect and with that It's definitely interesting to want to see what he would do with the Lethal Weapon dynamic. He's a great writer and would be perfect to pen Lethal Weapon.

Director: Directors are responsible for overseeing creative aspects of a film under the overall control of the film producer. They often develop the vision for a film and carry out the vision, deciding how the film should look, in other words they make their vision come to life. They are responsible for turning the script into a sequence of shots. They also direct what tone it should have and what an audience should gain from the cinematic experience. Film directors are responsible for deciding camera angles, lens effects and lighting with the help of the cinematographer and set design with the production designer. They will often take part in hiring the cast and key crew members. They coordinate the actors' moves, or blocking and also may be involved in the writing, financing and editing of a film.

Ruben Fleisher [Notable Works: Zombieland, Gangster Squad, 30 Minutes or Less]: There's no doubt with Gangster Squad he found a voice that would be perfect for a Lethal Weapon. He's a smart director and can really get into his character's head and really show that imagery on screen.

Detective Roger Murtaugh [Height: 6' 4", Age: 50]: Murtaugh is a straitlaced veteran homicide detective sergeant and family man. Considering retiring from his dangerous career upon the 50th Birthday.

Jeffrey Wright [Height: 5' 11", Age: 48, Notable Works: Casino Royale, Source Code, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire]: He's a fantastic actor, he's got a great deep voice that would help give Murtaugh that commanding presence he had in the original. He would absolutely be fantastic playing a character like Murtaugh he would really bring that character back. He's all around what I believe to be the perfect choice to take the role from Glover.

Detective Martin Riggs [Height: 5' 10", Age: Late 20's-Early 30's]: Upon being reassigned to the homicide Division he is partnered up with aging sergeant Roger Murtaugh. Riggs' partnership with Murtaugh proves to be valuable in Riggs' recovery, not only from alcohol, but his repression and depression from his wife's death. He becomes a close friend to both Sergeant Murtaugh and his family.

Joel Kinnaman [Height: 6' 2", Age: 34, Notable Works: The Killing, Robocop, Easy Money]: This was kinda hard to cast Riggs, it came down to either Tom Hardy or Joel Kinnaman and I really thought about it and I felt Joel was a perfect choice. He plays a perfect cop, he's got an edge to him that would really make him shine in the role. He's definitely got the look I want to see brought with the character having been on leave for grief and lost in his sense of purpose. I think it would take him some time to get to the point of cautious return Riggs is at but I know Joel could do it.

Trisha Murtaugh [Height: N/A, Age: Late 40's]: Wife to Roger Murtaugh and mother to their three children. She later becomes a novelist known as Ebony Clarke.

Viola Davis [Height: 5' 5", Age: 48, Notable Works: Prisoners, The Help, Enders Game]: A lovely actress in her older years keeping a beautiful figure to her. She does wonderful whenever giving a performance and would certainly do an amazing job as Trish.

Rianne Murtaugh [Height: 5' 10", Age: Teens]: The eldest of the Murtaugh children. She takes to whining before taking action, respecting her father but also wishing he wouldn't be so hard on her. She also sends flirtatious signals too her father's partner Riggs.

Camille Winbush [Height: 5' 2", Age: 24, Notable Works: Bernie Mac Show, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Recess]: I really find her interesting as an actress. I think she's fun and very fresh as an actress I think this would be an amazing role for her.

Nick Murtaugh [Height: N/A, Age: Teens]: Middle child of the Murtaugh home. A more responsible child, but also quick to mess with his siblings and sell them out to get them in trouble.

Chris O'Neal [Height: N/A, Age: 20, Notable Works: How To Rock, You Gotta See This, Swindle]: Chris is a great actor I think he has a strong sense of potential and would do a wonderful job in a role like this.

Carrie Murtaugh [Height: N/A, Age: Pre-Teen]: youngest and most innocent member of the Murtaugh clan who also shows a powerful sense of pro-animal rights activism.

Amandla Stenberg [Height: 4' 8", Age: 15, Notable Works: The Hunger Games, Rio 2, Colombiana]: She's a great actress and a very perfect choice for Carrie. She would definitely do a wonderful job as Carrie.

Captain Murphy [Height: 6' 1 1/2", Age: 50's]: Long-serving Captain of the L.A.P.D. Experienced with most of the troubles that seem to befit Roger in his personal life and makes the call to bring Riggs back to the force.

Kevin Spacey [Height: 5' 10", Age: 54/55, Notable Works: Se7en, Usual Suspects, Horrible Bosses]: Who doesn't love Kevin Spacey? He's an amazing actor and would do a wonderful choice to play Captain. He'd definitely have some fun on this role.

Dr. Stephanie Woods [Height: 5' 7", Age: 30's-40's]: Concerned over Martin Riggs' Psychological condition since his wife's death. She shows a lot of concern and fear towards him going full-loose cannon.

Bridget Moynahan [Height: 5' 10", Age: 44, Notable Works: I Robot, The Recruits, Blue Bloods]: A great actress who left an impression on me when I saw her in I, Robot for the first time, She's a good actress and this is a good role for her.

Michael Hunsacker [Height: 6' 1", Age: 50's]: A Close friend of Roger Murtaugh, having saved his life in the war {presumably Invasion of Grenada}. He now works as a Bank Manager, who begs Murtaugh to hunt and kill the men responsible for murdering his Daughters, one of which is presumed to have committed suicide.

Vincent D'Onofrio [Height: 6' 4", Age: 54/55, Notable Works: Full Metal Jacket, The Cell, Chained]: Vincent is a great actor and was originally my choice for McAllister but I felt he would be a great choice for Hunsacker and do an amazing job.

General Peter McAllister [Height: 6' 1", Age: 50's-60's]: Former Special Forces General who, after leaving the armed forces, began a dangerous drug cartel and became the drug kingpin of the L.A. Area.

David Morse [Height: 6' 4", Age: 60, Notable Works: The Green Mile, Disturbia, House {Certain Episodes}]: David is a powerful and strong actor. He does a wonderful job playing strong and powerful characters. None have been more powerful than Peter McAllister.

Mr. Joshua [Height: 6' 0", Age: 30's]: Ex-Special Forces officer who took McAllister's offer to become a drug Kingpin of L.A. And work as an enforcer, allowing him to satisfy a psychopathic lust.

Tahmoh Penikett [Height: 6' 2", Age: 39, Notable Works: Battlestar Galactica, Man of Steel, Razor]: Mr. Joshua is a great character, he was my introduction to Gary Busey, he's an intense but calm, calculative, and absolute monster of a person. He would absolutely be a character that Tahmoh would be perfect for. This is a strong actor dependent role. He's a great character that would be well translated by Tahmoh.

I've watched all four movies. I wouldn't mind seeing a reboot, even though it could be a mistake. I will say that Reuben Fleischer hasn't been doing good recently (20 Minutes or Less and Gangster Squad stank on ice), so it's risky.

The cast you've assembled is pretty interesting as well. Casting D'Onofrio in a non-villain role is a solid move. And your picks for Riggs and Murtaugh could be interesting. Hopefully Kinnaman could show evolving comic chops in case Lethal Weapon 3-4 would emerge.

Oy, having seen the original for the first time a while back, this would definitely take a lot of effort to distinguish itself from the original. But I think you picked a strong cast for this one, not bad!

(Although if this were actually made, and The Critic's Jay Sherman a real person, he would have a fit, since he probably hated the original too.)

That's a hard act to follow, and whereas, I do feel some movies should be remade, Goonies, Monster Squad, Princess Bride, this isn't one. That being said, your 3 stars are good, but not perfect and I have NOONE in mind so I'm not ripping your cast. I just feel that you've painted yourself into a corner with this movie

I like it, but Lethal Weapon is one of those movies I just think Hollywood needs to leave alone. I don't see any younger actors who have the same presence as those action guys from the 80s. To me any remake will always be lacking in casting.

I actually enjoy watching the Lethal Weapon films and that includes all four of them even though i didn't love the third film. It's slightly disappointing to me that Hollywood is remaking some good films that don't need to be remade. I've just learned to live with if Hollywood want's to remake something that does not need a remake then i'll just sit on back and see how it turns out but usually it does not turn out well.

You have some good choices for your casting and for your production team.

Yes but for Lethal Weapon for Murtaugh I actually like your choice of Jeffrey Wright but for Riggs I would have went with Tom Hardy personally myself

But for Trisha Murtaugh I would have went with Kerry Washington

But as for the rest of your cast I love each and every pick
