Spider-Man Reboot Cast!!!!

Going with the flow, I decide to try my hand at a Spider-Man fancast

Well, I've decided to go for it with a Spider-Man recast.... I'm going with the whole Marc Webb (anyone else find that a bit punny?) bit and trying for a younger cast. Hope you like.

PETER PARKER/ SPIDER-MAN
Logan Lerman

While he is a fan favorite, I could totally see him pulling off the wall crawler! He's a bit older tho, but he'll do fine!

GWEN STACY
Dakota Fanning

Yes, this is an unusual choice, but I have faith in her. She's a phenomenal actress, one that could do loads better than anyone else.

MARY JANE WATSON
Willa Holland

She has done great work on Gossip Girl and I think she would do great as portraying MJ as the party girl exterior, dreamer girl interior.

ADRIAN TOOMES/ THE VULTURE
Ben Kingsley

Another fan favorite. Although I am aware others wish him to be Professor Charles Xavier, he would do better as Vulture. I was thinking about having Toomes be a senior developer at OsCorp who comes up with the Vulture wings, and it could be a way to introduce Norman Osborn.

HARRY OSBORN
Anton Yelchin

Yet another fan favorite. he's a fantastic actor though, and one that would be awesome!

AUNT MAY
Cloris Leachman

I was watching Spanglish the other day and she was in it, and she portrayed a down to earth character I see Aunt May being (minus the alcoholism...)

UNCLE BEN
Robert Redford

This might be a controversial choice, but my line of thinking was this: remember in Batman Begins, when Liam Neeson turns out to be Ra's al Ghul? and everybody was shocked, because Liam is mostly mentors? Well its the same thing, give a big named actor and then kill him off in the beginning? it would deliver a shock factor.

NORMAN OSBORN
Jude Law

Another controversial choice. i dont think theres any way he'll play General Zod (as many fans wished) but he would be better as a psychopathic lunatic.

J. JONAH JAMESON
Sam Elliot

This is a choice that doesn't sit 100% well with me. I thought J.K. Simmons's portrayal was as perfect as it could have been. however, since this is a recast, i went with someone i thought could do just as good a job.

ROBBIE ROBERTSON
Joe Morton

Morton has been in numerous TV shows such as House and the Good Wife. He has also been in Speed 2 and American Gangster. I hope Robbie's roll is expanded more than it was in the Raimi series.

BETTY BRANT
Kiera Knightley

This is a choice I'm happy with. Kiera definitely has the chops for the role as Betty, and she's 24, so she'll be around the age of Peter. This way, if Webb decides to pursue a flirtatious aspect of Peter and Betty (as seen in the original comics) it won't be so creepy lol.

DR. OTTO OCTAVIOUS
Tim Robbins

The way I see this, he'll be a scientist in a cameo role, maybe seen on TV at a press conference or in a building while Spider-Man is fighting the Vulture. But I want him to have a memorable role, so he can appear in the sequels.

CAPTAIN GEORGE STACY
Pierce Brosnan

Yeah, well thank God Capt. Stacy doesnt have to sing! lol. Brosnan, or 007, would be great as a hard-edged cop and father of Gwen Stacy.

DR. CURT CONNORS
Colin Hanks

He is Tom Hanks's son. I see this Connors as a younger face, and his children are only like 5 years old, max. this could parallel to Nolan's Commissioner Gordon.

Well that's it! i hope you like it! i'm gonna try and formulate a story to go along with it, but no promises.

**peace, love, and rock 'n roll**

Not bad. I like the Tim Robbins choice, but Robbins is like 8 feet tall! Well, maybe like 6'3" or something. Either way, too tall for Doc Oc. Not big on the Hanks Conners thing either. Gwen/Dakota is interesting though.

ecksmanfan@ well Hugh Jackman is like 6'1 and pulls off Wolverine pretty well.

greendan93@ the Marc Webb version of Spider-Man is supposed to be set in high school so i went with younger choices.

@movietheaterlad, actually i did consider the fact that those people would be "too big" for the movie, but then i went with the fact that batman begins went the route of relatively uknowns surrounded by big name actors (michael caine, gary oldman, liam neeson).

i do agree redford would be perfect as Gwen's dad, but i think he's getting to old to be taken seriously as a cop. pierce brosnan has that certain toughness and age. i would cast him if it was spider-man 4 not a reboot.

thanks for the praise! :D

lee isn't going to be happy with Logan Lerman but personally i think he might do a good job.

oh good cast also send me a note when (and if) u do the story, ok i really liked your cast i'd like thought stan lee to do the part JJ i don't know it might be interesting anyway, can you imagine stan throwing lerman out of the office or something cause he didn't get him enough pics or something it would be soooooo funny!

oh and nice pic for mj and gwen! someone thought of ur mj's pic for gwen but ur right i like her better as mj! wow, that dress is just like in the spectacular spiderman tv show where she says, "face it tiger u just hit the jackpot."

Bad Spidey choice, I saw Percy Jackson and he was terrible. Also how is he older? I’m not a fan of him being Spidey at all, but he is a good age for it.

Not bad Gwen I guess

Don’t like your MJ

Alright Vulture

Great Harry

Don’t like your Aunt May

Interesting Ben

Terrible Goblin choice, Jude Law is nothing like Norman Osborn

Sam Elliot as Jonah is just type casting

Why would an A-list actress like Keira Knightly play a bit part in this kind of franchise?

Not to keen on your Ock choice, Robbins is a phenomenal actor but I don’t know….

Your Curt looks a bit too young

@otherside- Stan should NEVER play Jonah..Jonah is 50 not 70
