“Let the games begin!”

Welcome, to the eighth installment of the Tournament! In this, the eighth part of Round 1, we have some results! Who will have won? Well, here are the rules first.

The Tournament RULES!!!

Rule #1: THIS IS NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST!!! I don't want Batman to beat everyone! Please, be fair, think about the fight, analyze the fighters powers and abilities, and be fair!

Rule #2: It will start with 6 two-on-two fights. Then, the winners of the two-on-two fights will come together, and have two battle royales, with three fighters. The last man standing in those two will fight each other in a fight that will determine who moves on to the final fight, a battle royale between the top Marvel hero, Marvel villain, DC hero, and DC villain. The winner will be the champion!

Rule #3: There will be four separate competitions, one for Marvel heroes, one for Marvel villains, one for DC heroes, and one for DC villains.

Rule #4: This has the mainstream comic characters fighting. The fighters can only use what their mainstream comic counterparts have. Also, the fighters do not have had to appear in live action.

Rule #5: The participants have NO prep time, and do not know the others abilities, or weaknesses!!!

Here are the results from yesterday’s installment!

Fight #1: Darkseid

Fight #2: Bane

Fight #3: Sinestro

Now, onto todays fights! Plus, today is extra special, as it is the last installment of Round 1! Three-way battles are next!

Fight #4: Lex Luthor (battlesuit) vs. Mr. Freeze

Powers and Abilities:
Lex Luthor has the physical capabilities and limitations of a normal adult with no metahuman abilities. However, he possesses a genius level of intelligence. For virtually his entire publication history, he has been depicted as the most intelligent human in the DC Universe, and as one of the most intelligent beings of any planet or species. He has mastered seemingly every known form of science, including space travel, extra-dimensional travel, biochemistry, robotics, computers, synthetic polymers, communications, mutations, transportation, holography, energy generation, spectral analysis, and more (including time travel in many Pre-Crisis stories). With the exception of the extraterrestrial entity known as Braniac, he does not view any other being as an intellectual peer.
Over the years, Luthor has made liberal use of kryptonite weapons capable of injuring Superman and other Kryptonians. Since the Bronze Age of Comics, he has also utilized various battlesuits in many stories.

Powers and Abilities:
Like most Batman villains, Mr. Freeze plans his crimes about a specific theme; in his case, ice and cold. He freezes areas around him using special weapons and equipment, most notably a handheld "Freeze gun". His refrigeration suit grants him superhuman strength and durability, making him a powerful villain in Batman's rouge’s gallery. Fries is also extremely intelligent.

So, who would win? Lex Luthor, or Mr. Freeze? Vote in the comments section!

Fight #5: Deathstroke vs. Prometheus

Powers and Abilities:
Deathstroke possesses various enhanced abilities stated to be almost superhuman. These include the strength of ten men and heightened speed, agility, stamina, and reflexes. He has the capacity to use up to 90% of his brain at any one time, making him a tactical genius, adept at turning opponents' own abilities against them; this can also be attributed to his years in the military and combat with various heroes. Deathstroke also possesses a healing factor in his blood that enables him to heal from physical injury much faster than a normal person; however, it does have limitations, as he could not heal his missing eye and cannot regenerate entire limbs. This enables him to recover from what would otherwise be fatal injuries, though recovering from such injuries renders him insane and animalistic for a short period. Deathstroke is also a very formidable opponent in physical combat, and is able to stand up to Batman and Nightwing in hand to hand combat. He also has enhanced reflexes.

Powers and Abilities:
Prometheus possesses no superhuman abilities, but like the hero Batman has undergone intense physical and mental training and utilizes an extensive range of equipment and technology. Common tools include body armor; gauntlets that fire various projectiles; a tonfa with several technological features; and a helmet that in addition to emitting strobe lighting capable of disorientation and hypnotism, can via a compact disk allow a download of the knowledge and physical skills of others directly into his brain. Where Prometheus obtains this information is not known. The 'battlesuit'/helmet combination is also equipped with an AI, that can rapidly calculate and deploy a variety of strategies and countermeasures that have allowed Prometheus at various times to incapacitate entire groups of Justice Leaguers singlehandedly and simultaneously. Finally, Prometheus possesses the "Ghost Key," which allows the villain to teleport himself and other objects and persons to and from a dimension called the "Ghost Zone." It can also be used to inflict total molecular disintegration on a target, but Prometheus only employed this function once, when he eliminated an unsuspecting Retro.

Who would win? Deathstorke, or Prometheus? Post you thoughts in the comments!

Fight #6: Cheetah vs. Metallo

Powers and Abilities:
As she is an avatar of a god, Cheetah has superhuman strength, and durability, enough to go up against the likes of Superman and Wonder Woman. However, she can be harmed by piercing attacks, such as bullets. She also has superhuman speed, agility, and senses. Cheetah’s claws and fangs can cut through almost anything.

Powers and Abilities:
Metallo’s metallic body offers him a high degree of protection from physical and energy attacks. He has enhanced abilities. Metallo no longer needs to eat, sleep or breathe. His brain is hermetically sealed inside a shielded alloy skull that has its own power supply. When he was first created he was powered by a Kryptonite heart. Also, as a result of his cyborg body, Metallo possesses superhuman strength and speed, enough to pose a challenge and even a threat to opponents such as Superman.

So, who would be the victor? Cheetah, or Metallo? Vote in the comments section!
