As some of you know from reading the preceding scripts I've written for Daredevil (The Man Without Fear! and Speak of the Devil), there haven't been any cameos or nods to other Marvel superheroes out and about. We haven't seen a Spidey tag-team with ol'Hornhead, and the Punisher hasn't showed up to test Matt's dodging skills.
However, as many of you know, a special group of people make a surprise cameo in Frank Miller's
Born Again. In the climactic battle of the book, The Avengers show up and take control of a nasty situation Daredevil is trying to clean up. Their time is incredibly brief, but definitely one of the highlights in the already spectacular run.
My question to you is would you like that same cameo in
Born Again, or would you rather Daredevil be the central hero throughout the entire script? On one hand, it's neat to see a shared universe and really opts for a geek-out moment. But also remember that this isn't an invitation to join the Avengers for Matt, and this is Matt's final chapter (that I'm penning). So, would it be worth it, or should we just keep the spotlight on Daredevil?
I've posted the first two scripts down below, including my introduction for
Born Again. The poll is below that. Sound off in the comments for any debate about how you feel about easter eggs in movies! I'd love to hear what you have to say!
