Based on Marvel Comics' superhero character, this is a story of Peter Parker who is a nerdy high-schooler. He was orphaned as a child, bullied by jocks, and can't confess his crush for his stunning neighbourhood girl Mary Jane Watson. To say his life is "miserable" is an understatement. But one day while on an excursion to a laboratory a runaway radioactive spider bites him... and his life changes in a way no one could have imagined. Peter acquires a muscle-bound physique, clear vision, ability to cling to surfaces and crawl over walls, shooting webs from his wrist ... but the fun isn't going to last. An eccentric millionaire Norman Osborn administers a performance enhancing drug on himself and his maniacal alter ego Green Goblin emerges. Now Peter Parker has to become Spider-Man and take Green Goblin to the task... or else Goblin will kill him. They come face to face and the war begins in which only one of them will survive at the end.

Starring:
Michael Cera as Peter Parker/ Spider-Man

a bullied and tormented kid, who one day is bitten by a genetically enhanced super spider, giving him powers beyond his wildest dreams. after something terrible happens to Peter he decides to use these powers for good and he becomes the hero "Spider-Man"

Emma Stone as Mary Jane Watson

Mary Jane Watson, the girl nextdoor. Peter's long time crush, the woman he liked before he even liked girls. When Mary Jane is saved by Spider-Man she becomes curious when she finds out Peter snaps photos of Spider-Man for The Daily Bugle she becomes interested in Peter Parker.

Dave Franco as Harry Osborn/ The Green Goblin II

Son of Norman Osborn, Harry Osborn is Peter Parker's best friend. Peter helps Harry through High School and in return Harry lets Peter live with him in the city as the two move to college.

Patricia Clarkson as Aunt May

Aunt May, Peter's poor aunt who is in shock when her husband is murdered in cold blood by a masked car thief. Peter and Her become closer after her husbands death.

Chevy Chase as Uncle Ben

Ben Parker was born in Brooklyn, New York. He trained to be a military police officer.[1] He spent time as a singer in a band. He had known his future wife May Reilly since their high school days, but she in turn was naively interested in a boy who was involved in criminal activities. When he came to her one night and proposed to her on the spot, Ben was there to expose him as a murderer, and to comfort the heart-broken May when the boy was arrested. Their relationship evolved into love, and they enjoyed a happily married life. When Ben's younger brother Richard Parker and his wife Mary were killed in a plane crash, Ben and May took in their orphaned son Peter and raised him as their own.

Will Ferrall as J. Jonah Jameson

Jameson is usually the publisher or editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle, a fictional New York newspaper and now serves as the mayor of New York City. Recognisable by his moustache, flattop haircut, and ever-present cigar, he carries out a smear campaign against Spider-Man that has, at least temporarily, turned much of the gullible city against the hero. He employs photojournalist Peter Parker, who, unbeknownst to Jameson, is Spider-Man's alter ego.

Cam Gigandet as Flash Thompson

Eugene "Flash" Thompson is a high school classmate of Peter Parker. In high school, Flash is a stereotypical jock who continually bullied Peter. Flash was physically abused by his alcoholic father, Harrison Thompson, leading to Flash's own violent, bullying nature. It is Thompson who dubs Peter with the derogatory nickname "Puny Parker" and humiliated him daily in front of the whole school. Ironically, Flash admires Spider-Man, Peter's other identity, forming the first "Spider-Man Fan Club" and vocally supporting his idol wherever he goes, even criticising J. Jonah Jameson and his editorials to his face. When Spider-Man was seen committing robberies, Flash was one of the few to stand up for him claiming that he could still be innocent.

Steve Carrell as The Car Thief

the burglar is a minor antagonist, he robs a fight promoter of his money after Peter left his office. Peter lets the robber flee as a subtle way of seeking revenge against the fight promoter who cheated him out of money, rather than simply stopping him as in the comics where he tells the promoter "I missed the part where that's my problem" (which was exactly the same words the promoter said to him). That same robber carjacks and seemingly kills Ben (rather than breaking into his house like in the comics) as Peter finds a crowd and two police officers surrounding his dying body. Peter chases him to a warehouse where Peter unmasks the suspect as the guy who robbed the arena. During the fight, the burglar trips and falls from a window to his death.

Zooey Deschanel as Betty Brant

As one of the Bugle's staff and J. Jonah Jameson's secretary, Betty is usually seen either passing on messages to Jonah or receiving curt orders from him.
