The Story
In Russia, 3 government employees, mutants, stopped the Russian mob from succeeding in a major bank heist. The problem was that the death toll was astronomical, to include 2 of the 3 mutants, Vanguard and Ursa Major. The Colonel in charge, Alexi Vazhin, and his chief scientist, Professor Phobos, used this catastrophe to their advantage by gathering up every mutant in Russia. Liken this, if you will, to "knight of the broken glass" during the Holocaust. They used the remaining mutant agent, Darkstar, to do this (think mutant registration on paper but concentration camps in reality). Once she realized the 2 were siphoning the powers for themselves (well, Phobos was, Vazhin, chose to stay "human," as mutants were lower class) from the captured, she rebelled and went underground.
Meanwhile, back on the Rasputin family farm, a young man, Piotr, sits with his family for breakfast. The younger child, Illyanna, says how she wants to be a cosmonaut like her Mikhail, and how she cant wait until he comes home, she remarks, "2 years is too long!" Later in the day, Peter exposes his powers for the 1st time in front of his family in order to save his sister.
To them it's a blessing for the failing farm to have his strength, and they are happy, not ashamed of him. However, they fear what the government will do with him and swear to keep this hidden. A farm hand oversees this and relates it to the gov for riches for him and his family.
Without a mutant liaison, the 2 villains unfreeze the serial killing mutant-turned WWII super soldier-turned mass murdering super enhanced berserker-turned frozen chunk of uselessness, Omega Red, hoping he would do their dirty work.
With, Colossus' mutation now gov knowledge, he is paid a visit by Darkstar and her underground entourage consisting of the human priest, Father Garnoff, Dimitri, a mutant with similar powers to her own, and Maria, a mutant who can "mind wipe" dozens of ppl at a time, absorbing their Homo sapien skills and behavior.
It is agreed that his family will be safer, as will he, if he goes with Darkstar underground. Unfortunately, The Colonel and Omega Red show up and kill his parents and (we are led to believe until later) his little sister. While underground, he begins an awkward romance with Maria. Her schizophrenia, a side effect of her mutation makes it hard however. The media airs the destruction of the farm and use that as a warning to all mutants as well as propaganda to further the hatred of mutants. Provoked, Colossus goes home to find his sister battered, but alive. She is told to hid in the barn until further notice.
In his absence, Omega Red kills Dimitri and the priest. He comes back in time to watch Red come within inches from killing Darkstar, only to be saved by a dying Maria. An all out brawl commences between Red and Peter. Colossus wins and carries Darkstar to the Col and Professor whom they lock up.
Weeks later, on the farm, Professor X arrives, summoning Darkstar to be there as well. He asks the 2 (with Ilyanna present as well) to join him in searching for his students. Darkstar says she must stay and help rebuild Russia and Peter says he can not leave his sister. Xavier says she can stay with Moira, and Theresa in Scotland. At 1st, it all looks too familiar, a professor, mutants and so forth... but he eventually sees the light.
THE END
THE CAST
Armie Hammer as Colossus
The Social Network
24 years old and 6'5" makes him the perfect Colossus in the lead of his own movie. I know I'm not the 1st, evidenced by this pic (sorry, don't know who to credit) but It's a great choice.

Caitlin Carmichael as Illyana
having appeared in a number television shows and films, including Shake It Up, iCarly, Hot in Cleveland, Law & Order: Los Angeles, Criminal Minds, and many more. Carmichael was handpicked by Jenny McCarthy to play McCarthy’s daughter in the Webisode series “In the Motherhood.”
The 6-year-old has the right look and charisma for the young Illyanna.
Siobhan Fallon Hogan as Alexandra Rasputin
Rescue Me
Anytime I see her in a movie or a show, I walk away remembering her scenes. She would be great in this supporting role.
Mandy Patinkin as Nikolai Rasputin
Criminal Minds
He is of Russian ancestry and has the look of a feeble, but once very strong, farmer. He's a bit older than Siobhan, to show his frailty. She, too, is older than expected for having such young children but I imagine that they've had several that didn't make it due to the cold and expenses, that, and, Mikhail's age is never mentioned.
Mila Jovavich as Darkstar
Resident Evil
(changes I've made to her character)
I've made her nearly identical to her character as shown in X-Men The Animated Series.
The Russian actress was my 1st option for a number of obvious reasons, I think.
Rufus Sewell as Alexi Garnoff
Bless the Child
(changes I've made to the character)
I've swiped him of his mutation. I think having him represent the good in some ppl raises the emotion of the movie.
I've chosen Sewell as I always try and fit him where it is necessary.
Timothy Olyphant as Dimitri
Justified
(changes)
I've changed his name to differentiate him from the others. The hero, Concussion's name is actually Mikhail, I feel like the only Russian names Marvel knew were variations of Alexi and Mikhail. If needed. I could see a rivalry between him and Darkstar, having similar powers.
The pic is a dead-ringer for Olyphant.
Lily Collins as Maria
Priest
(changes)
Maria powers are based heavily on the hero Stencil however, I've taken her character and based it on Kitty Pryde physically and given Peter a romance of sorts to explain or "give a nod to" his later relationship with Pryde. Collins is 22 years old. And I must admit the pic is actually Kitty.
Collins is my choice because of her rising star in Hollywood and her resemblance to Shadowcat.
James Caviezel as Col Alexi Vazhin
Passion of Christ
Caviezel is a great actor whom I think could deliver an excellent performance as the "Thunderbolt Ross" of this movie.
Alexander Skarsgard as Omega Red
True Blood
At 6'4" he stands up quite nicely against Hammer. At 34 he's the right age for a killer who's been around for a while. A thin muscular build also helps to not take away from Hammer's physique and adds to his scariness as well.
William Fichtner as Professor Phobos
Prison Break
Notably not like Phobos, I like Fichtner very much and think that he is creepy enough, built enough, and a good enough actor to become the part rather than let the part become him. I also looked at Nicholson but changed my mind for reasons previously mentioned. Mortensen was another option but I felt he was too threatening and would take away from Omega Red.
Daniel Craig as Professor X
Bond Films
Sticking with the tougher looking, American-accented, middle-aged professor originated from my Warpath (non-cannon to this particular series) but used in these Giant-size X-Men origins
