Blackjack had some major audio issues on his end as obviously presented here, we tried our best to fix it.

Nope, I've read 616 and Ultimate F4. In fact one of the first comics I ever read was The Galactus Trilogy.
I only recently got arround to reading Ultimate F4 and I must say I did enjoy it. Like the movie it's a different take on the characters but it's intresting and mostly pretty good. (There are some arcs that are pretty shit).

Trust me when I say this though, I am a huge F4 Fan, much like yourself.
The only difference being that I love the franchise enough to embrace change and exciting/intresting takes on it.

I don't know how any respectable Fantastic Four fan could really like Fant4stic

It wasn't Fantastic Four at all, extremely bad representation of the characters, lazy script, pacing is off, there's seriously no 2nd act, Dr Doom is on screen for 4 minutes, ugh

Plus, the movie pokes fun at the Fantastic Four instead of embracing the characters

Haha, yeah, I'll try to remember it for a few more days.... It's fading though, btw, I had a chance to re-watch the Hellboy movies and they really need to finish that trilogy, soon

I [frick]ing swear to God, if Fox makes a seuqel to Fant4stic which won't even gross it's budget and Hellboy 3 won't happen even though Hellboy 2's gross was double the budget cost, I will go [frick]ing nuts.

I did like Doom, thought he looked pretty cool and was suitably OP. C'mon, you gotta admit that corridor sequence was pretty awesome! That said, there were some balancing issues, one minute he was OP Doom next minute he was taken down easliy.
I laid that too his attention being divided between the 4 instead of being able to focus on one person.

But I completely understand why someone might not like this take on doom, especially if, i'm assuming, he's their favourite villain.
You want a prefect interpretation of the character, and I respect that.
Personally I'm more of a Galactus fan than Doom (Doom is #2 though) so I'm imagining you're feeling a similar feeling I felt when I first saw Galactus the Space Cloud!

I haven't read all of 616 F4. There's only so much I can afford or read before even I get some fantastic four fatigue. But yeah, I've read a considerable amount of it.

I probably am nuts.
Especially since I admitted that I liked the movie.
Surprised I haven't received death threats!

I don't care what anyone says, the first part of the movie was good. The latter half, was probably the worst thing I have ever seen in a CBM.

I haven't been able to get the FF cartoon theme out of my head for days because I keep seeing it everywhere!

Glad you guys had differing opinions being shown. Still not watching this film.

To me, it really sounds like Trank may have had a good, albeit "different" movie before Fox chopped it to hell.
But like everyone says, who knows? Maybe the second half of Trank's original film really WAS just a different kind of bad. Like he himself said, we'll probably never see it.

Good stuff as always fellas, I have to admit I enjoyed the shorter length as well. You should do group reviews like this some of the other bigger movies coming out this year: Spectre, Star Wars, Man From UNCLE etc.

I don't begrudge Buoy for liking it, even if I didn't so much, but I've got to side with Jilly on this. Was quite enjoying the first act - until something horrible happened...
