Marvel Studios appears to be one step closer to assembling its Fantastic Four cast, with Star Wars actor Adam Driver recently emerging as a likely frontrunner for the role of Reed Richards.
While there's still no word on the Human Torch and The Thing, some names have started doing the rounds when it comes to Sue Storm and the MCU might have its Invisible Woman by as soon as next week. That's according to insider @MyTimeToShineH, anyway, and the trusted scooper also confirms Kunis is definitely among those in talks for the role.
The Family Guy star has been talked about as Sue ever since she was spotted meeting with director Matt Shakman.
While Kunis isn't necessarily a perfect fit in terms of how Sue looks on the page, she's a major talent and someone who could bring a lot to the table as the most powerful superhero in Marvel's First Family. It's also pretty easy to imagine her bouncing off Driver's Mister Fantastic.
Rumour has it the plan is for the MCU's take on Marvel's First Family to be an established team (there are rumbling that they get stuck in the 1960s for a time before returning to the present day). If Reed Richards and Sue have kids at this point, casting actors in their late 30s/early 40s makes all the sense in the world.
While many fans have argued that Driver would be a better fit for Doctor Doom than Reed, Galactus and Silver Surfer are expected to be the reboot's main antagonists. Doom is sure to follow, but after the villain factored heavily into Fox's three Fantastic Four movies, shelving him for a while wouldn't be the worst decision.
What do you guys think? Could Kunis be among the candidates to play Sue in the MCU or is there another role in Fantastic Four you think she'd be a better fit for?
The movie is set to be released on February 14, 2025.
