FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.


Fantastic Four stars Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as The Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as The Human Torch, Jamie Bell as The Thing, and Toby Kebbell as Victor Domashev/Doctor Doom. The tv spots are inconsistent. Is this dark? light? Jokey? A blend of all 3? Also, Jamie Bell is the least douchey of the entire cast, but he is arguably the most miscast of the four. Dang it, Jamie! You're on awesome actor, accept a role that won't give you tons of shit.

The thing looks and sounds well.....not that good. But I still think the overall movie will surprise people. If not then we'll see them back at Marvel lol.

WAIT, that was Thing that said, "That's what I do"?! Trank, I know you want to make this movie realistic, but if there's a giant man made of rocks it's actually more realistic if he sounds big and gruff. Jesus Christ, imagine if the Hulk talked like that!

This is going to be First Class/DOFP all over again. Movie's still in post, very likely Thing's voice will change. I'm actually 100% positive it will. Remember how Malekith's voice was changed drastically from the trailer and TV Spots?

actually besides Mr F arms stretching imo CGI is good. I like Human Torch effect. The problem with the Thing could be his movement. I'm not sure motion capture team (or whoever worked on that) got it right. Sue effects are good but i'm not sure how much can you show in terms of invisibility or power force. Sue effects seems like been done a thousand time before in past movies.

It could be a good movie

but it's not the Fantastic Four, it's more Ultimate but it's still not really the Fantastic Four, especially what their doing with The Thing (Five Fingers, His Voice, He never wears clothes), I'm also not a big fan of Ultimate FF, and Doom isn't Doom either, I also never liked the idea of Reed coming from a broken family

I wish this was called Chronicle 2

And, the effects do look dated, look at Sunspot in DOFP and then look at Johnny, Sunspot looks better than the Human Torch

I would even argue it isn't even like the Ultimate Fantastic four, I'm not being critical for the sake of critical, but it looks like it just took all the things that Ultimate Fantastic four did to ruin the original and just made the whole movie like that: Dark and gritty, attempt at a contemporary setting, making it edgy, taking the heart out of it all and just turning their origin into something more systematic, this would be referring to their ties to the military(only in the movie, really) which Joss even avoided in Avengers with the inclusion of S.H.I.E.L.D. Instead he allowed the members to come together naturally, not just some, "you're a black ops team because you have super powers, now we're going to use you for warfare". And the Fantastic Four are more freelance sort of heroes than the Avengers, so this military thing is all just a big mistake.
