Hunnam joins Eric Bana as Arthur's Father Uther, with Astrid Berges-Frisbey playing Guinevere, and Jude Law as the villainous Uncle. Idris Elba was at one time up for the "Merlin-esque figure who trains and mentors Arthur", but that part will now be played by Djimon Hounsou. The film is being envisioned as the first of a six-part saga, with Akiva Goldsman and Tory Tunnell producing, and Joby Harold (Awake, Edge Of Tomorrow) on script duty. Knights Of The Round Table: King Arthur is set for a July 22, 2016 release.
