The movie looks surprisingly handsome given the budget and has an appropriately epic feel. The trailer premiere was accompanied by a panel discussion the details of which will be available soon. But this version has a one-up on The Rock version already! It features the classic image of Hercules pulling the chains tied to two pillars.

Cast
Kellan Lutz as Hercules
Scott Adkins as King Amphitryon
Liam McIntyre as Sotiris
Johnathon Schaech as Tarak
Gaia Weiss as Hebe
Roxanne McKee as Alcmene
Liam Garrigan as Iphicles
Rade Serbedzija as Chiron
Luke Newberry as Agamemnon

Below is the official poster for the film.

It was made famous by Steve Reeves in his classic Hercules films.

This could actually be better than the Ratner film. The only major thing this has going against it is Hercules isn't The Rock.

What is this Spartus?

This actually insults Heracles. Why cant Hollywood make a faithful adaptation of Heracles.

I'll stick with the real Hercules. Hercules in New York!!!

The Rock's film has a truly terrible director.

King's right. Brett Ratner has done some crappy films like X-men last stand and Tower Heist.

Looks pretty bad, like a low budget mish-mash of every other historical/fantasy epic we've seen in the last 15 years.

I'll probably give this a watch just because it's a movie that falls under my interests. I'm sure it won't wow anyone, but it should at least be somewhat entertaining -- either for its (hopefully) decent fight choreography or its total B-movie feel.

@GodOfMischief: Noah is in post-production and is slated for a March 28, 2014 release.

No mystical creatures? When I think of Hercules, I don't think of Gladiator, Leonidas or Sparticus. I think of a half God fighting a Hydra or an army of soldiers lead by Hades.

lol, looks like an average TV episode of Spartacus, who in their right mind would pay to see this on the big screen? He doesn't even have a beard!

This looks like a low budget piece of shit! I'd prefer to watch and feature length version of Zena Warrior Princess.
Can't stand all of this slow motion bullshit as well off the back of 300 - Why do they insist on dong it?

Lutz should play He-Man instead .. Adkins should play Batman.
Instead we get this weakness.

It looks like a glorified TV movie, and does anyone in Hollywood actually know the story to Heracles?

Also this Hercules is not very heroic considering he wants to sabotage a peace deal and stop a war.
