With filming currently underway on the third installment in the Jumanji franchise, Sony Pictures has shared a first look photo of the sequel's principal cast. 

Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Alex Wolff, Ser'Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, and Rhys Darby will all reprise their respective roles from the previous installment and will be joined by franchise newcomers Awkwafina (Ocean's 8), Danny DeVito (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Danny Glover (Sorry to Bother You), and Dania Ramirez (Tell Me A Story).

Jake Kasdan is returning to the director's chair with a script from Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg.

The film is set to open on December 13, 2019, which will set it up for another showdown with the Skywalker clan as J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode IX opens the following week.

@incredibleTalk - Yep. Kids liked it. So I’m destined to see this one 20+ times. I surprisingly liked the first one. Hope this one is good too.

My guess: Someone goes missing into the game (maybe Collin Hanks’ character’s kid), and so the gang has to reunite and re-enter the game.

I haven't seen the first one, but if this is meant to be the same game as the first one, then it totally makes sense for them to look exactly the same. However, if the game they're entering is meant to be a sequel, then it makes less sense.
