The Look Of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's HERCULES Inspired By IRON MAN 2's Whiplash?
"The best way to describe his Hercules is as if The Rock were cosplaying Mickey Rourke's Whiplash from Iron Man 2," says one lucky journalist who got to see a photo of a recent costume fitting that Dwayne Johnson took part in for Hercules. Read on for further details!

At a roundtable interview for G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was quizzed about his upcoming take on the titular character in Brett Ratner's Hercules. What follows is a description of an actual photo that the WWE superstar and fan favourite actor showed Superhero Hype on his cell phone.
Johnson just grins. He's got a photo from his costume fitting for the upcoming Hercules and he's got no problem sharing it with the room. Sadly, we're not able to show off the actual image, but be prepared for a surprising new look for the blockbuster star. The best way to describe his Hercules is as if The Rock were cosplaying Mickey Rourke's Whiplash from Iron Man 2. He's got long hair and a long black beard on top of his characteristically massive physique. There's no telling if that's his costume throughout the film, but it's definitely a look that will surprise fans.
As long as you don't take the Iron Man 2 comparison too literally, this sounds like a really interesting and unique look for the actor. With filming set to begin within the next couple of months, be sure to stay tuned for more details (and hopefully images) from the film. The screenplay for Hercules was adapted by relative newcomer Ryan Condal from Radical Studio's graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars.
