Barry Allen Geeks Out Over The ARROW In New Clip From "The Scientist"

BARRY ALLEN COMES TO STARLING CITY — A seemingly impossible robbery at Queen Consolidated’s Applied Sciences Division brings Central City police scientist Barry Allen (guest star Grant Gustin) to town. Citing a similar case back home, Barry offers to help Oliver (Stephen Amell) and team with the investigation. Oliver senses there is more to Barry than meets the eye, but he’s distracted by the similarities between this current case and something that happened on the island. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) takes a liking to Barry, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Oliver. Sin (guest star Bex Taylor-Klaus) asks Roy (Colton Haynes) for help when a friend of hers goes missing. Roy is surprised when Thea (Willa Holland) not only encourages him to help, but joins the search. Unfortunately, Sin’s friend is connected to Brother Blood (guest star Kevin Alejandro), and their search ultimately gets one of them seriously injured. Michael Schultz directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kresiberg and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Geoff Johns.

I like him. Sadly, I don't see him fitting up on the big screen with Henry Cavill and a seasoned Batman.
He will work for the small screen though! I'm ready for his solo show!

Have you guys seen Grant's latest instagram photos? He's BULKED UP! Oh and he's sporting a beard too. I think having Barry be more Wally-ish is a good thing cause you need that geeky-jokestar on the team. He'll be the iron-man to the DCCU

I think this clip was much better than the first and all of his confidence and swagger will come once he gets his power. Can't wait to see him suited up!

Could the reference to black gear be a Batman nod? Just saying

I think it'll take some time for him to get comfortable in that role.

I thought Amell was meh in the first couple of episodes of Arrow. But he has gotten a lot better and so has the rest of supporting cast.

Not sure what I feel about him, I guess I'll hold my judgement until I see more. I have to remember this is flash before he is actually the flash. No body cares for Peter parker before he got bit by the spider.

This guy CAN'T ACT. Each clip that gets released gets worse and worse.

I'm so happy the cinematic universe is being kept separate from this.

Didn't they say Leonardo couldn't act back when he was just another "pretty boy"? Grant is doing a fine job, 113.

@soforizo

No shit Sherlock. Should every statement anyone ever makes be qualified with "in my opinion?"

"In my opinion it is a beautiful day"

"In my opinion blue is the best color"

"In my opinion we should have pizza for lunch"

Okay, go around the world saying that before every subjective statement.

Amell is a great arrow and he does have the acting chops to be in a shared movie. Any problems with his acting on this show stems from the writing.

How is a TV Barry Allen supposed to be? Like the guy in the old Flash TV show? Is there no room to reimagine the character, or combine elements of other characters to make something fun and interesting?
