The Flash CW Arrow

A seemingly impossible robbery at Queen Consolidated’s Applied Sciences Division brings Central City police scientist Barry Allen (guest star Grant Gustin) to town. Citing a similar case back home, Barry offers to help Oliver (Stephen Amell) and team with the investigation. Oliver senses there is more to Barry than meets the eye, but he’s distracted by the similarities between this current case and something that happened on the island. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) takes a liking to Barry, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Oliver. Sin (guest star Bex Taylor-Klaus) asks Roy (Colton Haynes) for help when a friend of hers goes missing. Roy is surprised when Thea (Willa Holland) not only encourages him to help, but joins the search. Unfortunately, Sin’s friend is connected to Brother Blood (guest star Kevin Alejandro), and their search ultimately gets one of them seriously injured. Michael Schultz directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kresiberg and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Geoff Johns (#208).

The CW Arrow season 2

"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine."

Ehhh he didn't blow my socks off but I think with some better lines he could pull off the Flash we want.

"Do your parents know you're here"...I laughed.

Doesn't look bad now...but he is a little awkward and I can't say that I know how Barry was in the comics.

This kid can't act. From every snippet we've seen he just has flat delivery in all his lines. Hopefully I'm wrong but...

I'd say the guy was decent but he was better when he started talking about the crime scene.
So far so good.

@Sumitsjc

What?

" And does your Parents know you're here?"

Arrow wouldn't be with us if he would say something like that to Bruce :P

He seems like Barry Allen to me. Slight sense of humor not over the top like Wally, and is always late. Has that slight nerd aspect but not geeky. So to me he's a fit. Just needs blonde hair lol.

He'll be fine for the show.

But NOT for the DC cinematic universe. I'm sorry.

You can NOT have a young, SKINNY, feminine 22 year old Barry Allen fighting crime with a 46 year old Bruce Wayne standing next to a body like Henry Cavill's.

It'll look silly.

Keep him on the CW. AWAY from the DC movie universe.

"I'm guessing you don't know how hard it is to break someone's neck.. hmmm?" I could see him asking Clark Kent that question.

Yup that's Barry alright. People saying he's Peter Parker? LOL go read a comic son, before he was Flash. Plus with Geoff Johns and Andrew Kriesberg involved heavily...I'm pretty sure they will do Barry justice.

I love that he is a little geeky and awkward, without being stupid and over the top. just the right amount of humor in that especially for a guy who will become the flash.

I definitely approve. he is a combination of Barry and Wally and that will work on the screen and on TV....just give it a chance...remember when they first announced arrow..everyone bitched and complained because it was on the CW..when we first saw clips people were sold on the show (especially after Smallville) but look at everyone's love for the show. These are same people behind flash. They got this....I truly believe that.

Put him next to Affleck and Cavill and Amell. He fits like a glove next to them.

Affleck- The 37-40 year old experienced badass Batman
Cavill- The hero and leader of the team. 33 years old.
Amell- The badass 27 year old hero archer. Slowly becoming more comedic like Oliver in the comics.
Gustin- The 23 year old kid gifted with incredible powers. The person who keeps the team optimistic and happy. The young guy of the team. The most human one. The comic relief.

Yep fits the bill.

I guess people forget 18-21 year old JLU Wally West and 24 year old Barry Allen from the original comics. Shame people forget ...

He kinda seems like a male version of Felicity, which is kinda starting to make sense that she becomes involved with him. Hm... I must admit his performance wasn't bad. I'll refrain from further judgment until the episode airs.

Most frustrating show. Bad acting and stupid Twilight like drama make me want to stop watching but the awesome comic book moments, great action, and genuine good stories make me watching this polarizing show of quality.

I'm still annoyed that he looks and sounds like he's 17 but at least they acknowledge that with Ollies comment. "Do your parents know you'r here?." lol

Also awkward geek is not Barry, maybe Peter Parker but definitely not Barry.

So far not good for me.

I'd have to see more but I'd guess that he would make a good Flash. His age and his personality don't bother me.
