The CW Arrow season 2

"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine."

I really hope Laurel dies, she's the only thing dragging this show down

Other Contenders might be Moïra, Thea and Laurels' Dad

I think the writers are setting her up for a big redemption arc. They're purposely making her unlikable and then a tragedy will occur and then she'll be closer to the Black Canary from the comic books. Either her dad or sister or maybe both will die and give her that spark. But we're probably another season or two away from that happening.

Anyone think Thea isn't going to make it?

I'm afraid it will be Officer Lance. It's not going to be the main 3, or Roy, but everyone else is possible.

As long as it's not Diggle or Felicity, I'm good.

It just reminds me of Lana Lang's exact arc in Smallville, and that character/actress sucked too.

Besides now that Caity Lotz' Black Canary is on the show do we really want or need Cassidy to don the fishnets? Do we really want Ollie to get with her? The only reason they're going to end up together is because they were in the comics but the shows built up enough of it's own identity that Ollie can do without her

I'm starting to think it may be Diggle, outside of the Deadshot arc, he hasn't had much to do. It's been the Oliver and Felicity show for the most part.

A couple things about this show

-It bloody rocks
-Amell seems like a cool dude
-It better be connected to the movies
-SO many beautiful women that it's not fair for the human eyes.
-BARRY ALLEN

Who dies?
1. Laurel? No. Serves no purpose to redo Sarah's death after her return and Laurel wasn't even in part 1.

2. Felicity/Chloe? No. Really serves no purpose at all.

3. Diggle? Possible considering the show doesn't attempt to develop him anyway. Maybe Ramsey wants to move on.

4. Moira? Very possible and would serve a purpose in giving Oliver and Co. a reason to be looking deeper into what's going on in Starling City. And killing Moira could be something of a murder mystery with Merlyn, Ra's Blood and Isabel Rochev as suspects. Moira's death could also open the way for Merlyn to secretly enter Thea's life as her only surviving parent, a revelation Merlyn could help her to discover.

5. Thea? No. They have a storyline developing there, killing Thea would kill it before it begins.

6. Harper? Hell no.

7. Lance? Possible but the show needs the Police connection and all his death would serve is to give Laurel more reasons to pop pills and drink.

8. Shado or Wilson? Doubt that Amell would bother to post a hint about the backstory line on the Island.

In part 1 which is half the story, only one character other than Oliver, had a story in which their life became more dangerous and that's Moira. Moira dies as I predicted a month ago on another thread here.
There is simply nothing more the show can get out of that character that justifies keeping her around.
ManDeth
ManDeth - 12/6/2013, 6:04 AM
@monkeyballs If it's Moira and they don't show the killer then I think it will be Isabel. There was a brief exchange between them and Moira seemed to know her already.
But even if she didn't, Isabel has a plan and she was very upset by Moira's return.
Isabel needs Oliver as CEO for some reason that would include controlling his ween to control him.

Alright I've got a couple of theories on this one:

Detective/Officer Lance is the one who dies! This gives Laurel a reason to train/become the Black Canary(thus making her more relevant to the show's story arcs). It also gives her sister Sarah a reason to reveal herself. As a character, the show doesn't really need him anymore because Roy is now helping Oliver in the field and Felicity can provide any police-related information anyway.

Oliver's mom will probably also die at some point. It could be as early as next week, because her story arc (the undertaking) is pretty much over. Killing her off will set the Merlyn story into motion, while giving Thea's character a reason to develop. It also would solidify Malcolm Merlyn as Oliver's arch nemesis (for his responsibility in the death of Oliver's best friend and mother).

As for who will likely survive, I think Sin stays alive and maybe becomes a part of the team (like Speedy aka Mia Dearden). Diggle and Felicity stay alive for obvious reasons, as does Sarah, Roy and Laurel.

I Don't know why Stephen Amell specifically capitalized the words "FLY By", but perhaps there could be a MOS reference.

curiouser and curiouser...

Pretty sure it's Moira who kicks the bucket.
nickh0801
nickh0801 - 12/6/2013, 6:13 AM
Oh yeah, add Moria, because she has now threatened Merlyn with the whole Ra's al Ghul thing as well as refuses to tell Thea that he is her real father. She also just escaped the death penalty and is a free woman, which would add a shock factor if she gets killed off. It will be set up to look like Merlyn had something to do with it, but it will end up being at the hands of Isabel in order to get Moria out of Queen Industries once and for all.

I think the "something goes wrong at the stakeout" line is there to throw you off. Something will happen, but it won't be Mr. Lance getting killed.
nickh0801
nickh0801 - 12/6/2013, 6:16 AM
@ManDeth...
Yes, Moria knows Isabel, because Isabel is the one that Robert had an affair with. And I am thinking the same thing, it will be Moria that dies (See above post)

Honestly with comment 3. I've never been so surprised and happy while reading a script. Ever. & comment 7. It has the title belt as the best episode we've ever done., coupled with the FLY BY comment many have been pointing out I think that "Three Ghosts" may heavily imply a unified DCU...

I also have a theory that the current Arrow Cave gets compromised by Slade Wilson's intrusion and fight. I think it gets destroyed and they have to relocate to the Clock Tower. Also I was thinking about who might give Ollie the domino mask and I've narrowed it down to either The Canary, Huntress, or some as yet introduced character like Nightwing. Highly doubt it's Barry Allen cause he wouldn't have time or foresight to make one...

Anyway pumped for Wednesday! It's the best day of the week now! Going to be a sad month waiting for the show to come back on January 15 "/

jamesbrando3 - 12/6/2013, 6:46 AM
Also I think Shado will die by Slades hands on accident. He will be in a bloodlust rage after the serum and he will accidentally kill her igniting the feud between him and Oliver. Think about it, Sara Lance didn't ask where Shado was, only Slade...
Element36
Element36 - 12/6/2013, 6:47 AM
I can't believe the only mention of Sin is that she'll make it.

I'm not saying she's going to bite it, but come on. If someone were easily disposed of, character-wise, it would be her.

Fly By could refer to Superman.

Or Hawkman or Hawkgirl or Martian Manhunter or Wonder Woman or Green Lantern.

Or maybe a pun on Robin? Or Nightwing? Or any of the Bat family?
HeisenBane
HeisenBane - 12/6/2013, 7:03 AM
Definitely Moira. As much of a MILF as she is, her character has nothing left to give to the show apart from her death. Although Isabel killing Moira makes sense, I find the character pointless so far so unless they link her to Ra's or the Island somehow id rather Merlyn did the deed.

I agree with some of the posts here that someone close go Laurel, possibly her dad dies. Also Caity's BC will die, giving Laurel the motivation to become BC. I caught that "Fly By" comment, maybe just maybe a Superman tie in. Great show.

This was the episode where he put on fb -- super duper secret stuff to nth degree... I believe a reference will be made to tie this in with Justice League. It was around that time he posted pic of JL comic books on fb. We may hear the "you are not alone" television broadcast in this episode.
