Susanna Thompson Joins The Cast Of ARROW

The Dragonfly actress has signed on to play the mother of Green Arrow/Oliver Queen in The CW's upcoming pilot Arrow, a modern revision of the DC Comics character.

Deadline reports that Susanna Thompson - previously seen in NCIS and Dragonfly - has landed one of the female leads on the CW pilot Arrow, based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow/Oliver Queen. Thompson will play the character's mother, Moira Queen. The actress joins Stephen Amell (Green Arrow) and David Ramsey (John Diggle) in the pilot, which is directed by Smallville's David Nutter, and it's written/executive produced by Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim.

They should just continue with GA from Smallville recast if necessary but don't go the Smallville route just move the character from Metropolis to Star City. Go the lost fortune route and make him the street vigilante he was in the 60's and 70's with dark story lines and not cheesefest romance that WB is keen to use to bring in legions of female viewers to up its ratings but ostracize the fans.
