MALCOLM MAKES AN OFFER TO HELP TEAM ARROW — Still operating without Oliver (Stephen Amell) and desperate to stop Brick (guest star Vinnie Jones), Team Arrow is forced to consider Malcolm’s (John Barrowman) offer to help shut Brick down as Malcolm has a personal score to settle with the felon. Roy (Colton Haynes) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) point out that the team could use some help to save the innocents of The Glades, but Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is adamantly against it. They look to Diggle to make the final decision. Meanwhile, the flashbacks chronicle Malcolm’s descent from kind-hearted father and husband to cold-blooded killer after the murder of his wife. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Beth Schwartz & Brian Ford Sullivan (#312).

How is Brickwell a threat now? We've seen how skilled Merlyn is and he has no regard for the safety of civilians, so he could just waltz into the Glades and put an arrow through Brick whenever he wants.

AstonishingArachnid- well he seems to be a meta human (or he has mirakuru) so id say that makes brick a threat. he's been shot in the face twice (i think it was twice).

anyway im looking forward to this, it will be fun to see merlyn kill fight brick.

@Astonishing Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he get shot in the face at point blank range and nothing happened? Not sure Merlyn can just waltz in with a bow and arrow and kill him. I'm sure he could kill him but it would take all lot of effort.

By the way Laurel is looking beef in this clip.

@kinghulk @RextheKing It was REALLY unclear if he had any powers or not. It looked like the bullet scathed him to me but it could have hit. But even so Roy's arrow perfectly pierced him and Brick made it seem like if Roy's aim was better he could have killed him. Plus he displayed no attributes of Mirakuru, I think his pain tolerance is just really high.

Just Checked it was definitely a head shot so how exactly did an arrow do more damage than a bullet? Is only his head invulnerable?

that is a bit silly that the arrow did more damage.

And the bullet grazed brick, didn't pierce the skin

Anyone else find it annoying that Brick literally showed up last episode and in his second appearance he's managed to hold the city hostage? Even to a level where the national guard have to come and stop him?!

Seriously, why couldn't he be the street level bad guy since the start of the season while Sarah's murder investigation was a sub plot till the finale? Christ, the writing on this show has truly gone to hell this season.

The first two seasons of Arrow seemed to take its time with plots. Deathstroke was a character introduced in the early going of season 1 and made into a villain over the course of 30 episodes. This season is bringing in plots and ending them within 4 episodes. There was no foundation set from last season except for Flashback China and Thea. Thea's plot was cheaply ended and she is pretty much back to where she was except with the once-per-episode reference to Merlyn. The Flashbacks to China have no bearing on the modern plot.

@Astonishing the skin on his head must be tougher, or maybe his bones are tougher as well and since you have to go deeper to hit bone on someone's chest, the arrow was able to do more damage. My best guess though is that it wasn't thought out thoroughly by the showrunners.

I'm guessing Brick is one of the Mirakaru soldiers from Slade's army that got away and I'm sure there are still more out there. Anyone thinking maybe Maseo was the one put in the Lazarus pit in the past? He is acting crazy emotionless and cut his throat without it bleeding.

Question somewhat relevant. Am I the only one who notice some of the unanswered teasers Stephen Amell dropped on us last season are getting answered this season? The first vigilante is Wildcat and I take it "rise" is referring to Oliver's resurrection.

The writing for this season has been so bad imo.Hopefully it will get better now that Slade is returning.

@RextheKing,

I definitely have noticed about the teasers, and I really want Cyrus Gold to come back as Solomon Grundy already.

@AstonishingArachnid

I thought about that too. Maybe Brick loads that gun with rubber or low caliber bullets??

Or maybe Bullet Tooth Tony moved to Starling City and changed his name to Brick.
