Pretty cool, huh? Bruce seems like such an awesome guy to work with. I love how he mentions his famous "Be Water" philosophy.

Bruce was an amazing martial artist. I love the arrogence in the questions that Bruce was asked during this interview. The producers were heavily criticised for casting an Asian man to play an Asian character. Go figure. Many people believe that was the reason why the show was cancelled. Anyway, Bruce was awesome and he was so calm and entertaining in this video despite the producers pokeing fun of his heratige.

There are great martial artists. And then there are legends. Bruce Lee is without a doubt one of them.

It's not just his control and execution of the art, but more his demeanor and the way he carried himself that makes him so.

Wish he was still around.

goderic- watching the movie of bruce lee. it showed that they cancelled the show cause of him an then came the lone ranger. and the producers wanted a white person no asian.
Gstatus360
Gstatus360 - 6/24/2010, 12:32 PM
@goderic im not sure how old u are but casting white people in roles of charaters of color has been going on since the begining of film i.e.; whites in black face, white playing native americans, mexicans and asians in westerns, etc. the list goes on and on and its still happening today. Prince of Persia-WHITE GUY, Original Cleopatra:Elizabeth Taylor-White Chick, New Cleopatra:Angelina Jolie-Smoking Hot White Chick and there in not one asian in the whole cast of the last air bender. How the hell do they cast a white kid to play a charater named Aang!!!!!!!!

So what they did to bruce is nothing new plu they stole his idea for a show called kung-fu, didnt cast him in it and cast David"Kill Bill"Caradine instead-[frick]in WHITE GUY!!

I agree with you guys. Maybe it came out wrong. Sometimes things makes since in my head and not so much after I write it down. I realize what you mean Gstatus. That has been going on forever. Thats what I was emplying. The Green Hornet was cancelled because the network did not believe that it would be successful with Bruce (an Asian) playing an Asian. I put go figure because you would think an asian would be the perfect person to play an asian character. I am so glad that I did not live back then. I think that racism is bad in todays society but then I read or watch movies that depict how people were treated back then and it is just so stupid. Also, i am so excited about The Last Airbender but your right. Watching a movie that is set in that era and place and not a single Asian person in the film.

This is bloody brilliant. His philosophy of Martial Arts is spectacular.

Goderic - 6/24/2010, 3:45 PM
Cool, so I was off by emplying that no one was asian. However, it is silly that Aang, katara, and Saku are all white boys.

Bruce lee was the master but he always said to never
call yourself master, you should be a student all
your life learning wisdom continuously.

He was a very humble guy even tho' he had all the
reason in the world to think too highly of himself!
But he lived what he taught.

I took Jeet Kun Do for
awhile but it is extremely difficult to master. It
is Bruce Lee's type of gung fu that he developed
himself. What a gracious and graceful man he was. I
wish he was still here too! Just imagine all the
amazing movies he would have brought us if he had
lived to old age. Just imagine him and his son doing
movies together. So very unfortunate for them both!

Bruce Lee was truly one of a kind. It's a shame the entertainment industry doesn't produce the same kind of brilliance these days. His action fight scenes are better than a lot of today's CGI powered action.

It still irks me to this day that Kato and Robin fought to a draw in the Batman-Green Hornet crossover episodes...

@DDD The Game of Death was actually going to be his last movie. He may have come back at some point but he definitely planned for "The Game of Death" to be it.

darthstern - 6/24/2010, 10:49 PM
you really forget how awesome he was not only was he a great martial artist but he was a solid actor too. with the racism that existed back then he was held back immensely
imagine if he was around today at that age with his looks and his kung fu he would be one of the most sought after actors

Bruce Lee is my IDOL. I love everyone of his movies and I have his books. I actually have a quote on my forearm from him.

"The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering."

I just wish he was still alive.

Man, that was just...f^cking cool. I love his movies and seeing him actually explaining techniques as opposed to just kicking ass on screen is pretty awesome.

DDD - 6/24/2010, 11:17 PM
Sortis@ that's true that Game of Death was going to be his
last starring role but I'm sure he would have
produced movies and choreographed them. I bet he
wouldn't have been able to stop the urge to do more acting
himself, eventually.

Yeah, Darthstern@ he was an extremely astute actor, his
comedic timing was impeccable! You could see it in this
audition film, how he displayed the different type
character acting of Chinese Opera. The way he moves
is so fluid it is amazing!

Holy cow! Bruce Lee truly is awesome, his composure, the way he uses words it really does exhume humbleness that you don't get to see on films and how people describe him. Wow :)

“I am learning to understand rather than immediately judge or to be judged. I cannot blindly follow the crowd and accept their approach. I will not allow myself to indulge in the usual manipulating game of role creation. Fortunately for me, my self-knowledge has transcended that and I have come to understand that life is best to be lived and not to be conceptualized. I am happy because I am growing daily and I am honestly not knowing where the limit lies. To be certain, every day there can be a revelation or a new discovery. I treasure the memory of the past misfortunes. It has added more to my bank of fortitude.” Bruce Lee. He was awesome and anyone could have learned alot from this man.
