The Green Hornet is a movie based off of the television and comic book series, but isn't one of those that is owned by Marvel or DC, it is just your average superhero film with a comedic twist. I haven't seen the movie Kick Ass yet, but it seems to be similar in style where a superhero nerd (in this case Rogen's character, Britt Reid) becomes a superhero and goes after villains like he's in a video game.

The movie is absolutely ha-larious. Seth Rogen is extremely obnoxious in the film with his constant freaking out and screaming at the top of his lungs like he has a throat illness, but it is all for laughs as Rogen delivers several good lines that make you laugh your ass off. His sidekick (literally), Kato (Jay Chou) is also hilarious - not as hilarious as Rogen, but also provided plenty of laughter in his parts. The sexy Cameron Diaz looks hot in this film and I don't blame Britt for wanting to nail her, I would do the same thing. While Christoph Waltz plays the villain, Benjamin Chudnofsky - a very interesting villain who seems bad-ass at times and almost weak at other times, but maybe that's just part of the character's theme and personality. David Harbour is good as Frank Scanlon, the man who was responsible for murdering Britt's father. While James Franco's small role was absolutely epic with his "disco Santa Claus" reference that is just excruciatingly funny. The cast is all good as their characters are good and all them seem to find a way to add humor in their characters, as well.

The action is actually really good for a humorous superhero film (I don't really think of Britt as a superhero - more like someone that fights evil.. while breaking the law, but whatever.) as the car scenes and especially the final climax battle is actually surprisingly filled with action and glass shatters - plenty of that. The action was overpowered, however by the humor throughout the film that made the movie more enjoyable. So with all this being said, this gets a 4.5/5 for me - not for it's well-made, but for it's amount of entertainment.
