From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team--the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits--Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon; Groot, a tree-like humanoid; the deadly and enigmatic Gamora; and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand--with the galaxy's fate in the balance.

Guardians of the Galaxy features:
Director: James Gunn
Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord

I love the voice that Vin diesel makes at 4:13, 4:19 and 4:28 in the funny behing scenes video. I wish that that was the voice he used for the movie but from the art in the trailer it seems that his voice will be much less interesting.

Lol it's funny tho but they won't be able to take the Avengers, especially after their lineup in AoU
Avengers will have Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Vision.

Guardians. If Thor went into fights at 100% then I would choose Avengers, but he doesn't. Even old man Thor is still cocky at the start of a fight. Drax and Gamora got Thor and Hulk handled (more mature Drax, not immature Drax). And Rocket take down Tony.

The Hulk would wipe his ass with Raccoon.

Captain America = Star-Lord
Hulk > Groot
Iron Man < Drax
Thor > Gamora
Black Widow & Hawkeye = Rocket Raccoon

It would be a toss up between Rocket and Cap who would devise the best tactical plan.

@TelaVision you have to be joking, Rocket Raccoon take down Iron Man? He's just a raccoon with big guns.

If the GOTG had Adam Warlock and Phyla-Vell it would be a more fair fight.

Tony is more than enough by himself. You add any of the Avengers to that then it is a route!

WAR OF KINGS was not only awesome, but it can also introduce the INHUMANS into the MCU. The REAL INHUMANS, not that "X-Men replacement" theory that keeps going around.

The fact that Nebula has a secure future in the Marvel universe has got me excited! Hopefully she or Thanos can take centre stage in the sequel and challenge the Guardians more than ever... I'm still hoping for Nebula as the main villain in a future Avengers.

I really hope there is no Guardians/Avengers cross-over. Guardians doesn't need to sully their universe with the mess that is developing in the Avengers/Ant-Man universe.

The GotG wouldn't go into a fight fairly, and their team play has always been much stronger than the Avengers, whom fight mostly solo. The hulk is the only real threat, but I think Drax and Gamora could take him! They beat ronan the accuser who has stomped the Avengers a lot.

@Malacos
Lol are you kidding me? Thor and Hulk alone stomp the Guardians. Drax and Gamora take the Hulk? *Rocket raccoon laugh*

In the Thanos imperative the GOTG were able to take down a mutated version of the Defenders with ease. If Nova Prime is with GOTG I see them winning.

Vin Diesel is a GREAT ACTOR! I say this because in real life, he talks really friggin weird and a little girly. He definitely isn't the "badass" that he portrays in movies. He acts completely different in movies. That takes talent! :-P

The Avengers would kick their ass.
Hulk by himself would beat them.
Keep dreaming Saldana.
