Thor 3 will probably introduce Death and Doctor Strange will probably include Enternity/Infinity.

@0megaDaGod
I've been thinking that for months. I'm sure Thor 3 will end with Thanos himself taking advantage of the situation to go to Asgard and take the Gaunlet and Tesseract or Loki taking and giving them to Thanos so he won't kill him. There's no way that doesn't happen.

I honestly hope that easter egg in the first Thor movie ends up legitimate. For some reason, I always just assumed it was nothing more than a fun easter egg that probably wouldn't pay off. But if Marvel doesn't ret-con that and actually lets it stand as proof of their ridiculously long-term storytelling, I'd be thrilled.

It'd also make me much more excited to see Ragnorok, as the other 2 Thor movies haven't really done much for me.

It's pretty cold here as well, though we're far from snow atm. Came home from a long ass shift today. Now I'm just hanging around, watching television and eating fennel. Guess I'll be off too bed soon.

I wish they made it less goofy. I was watching Star Wars earlier and it's quite light hearted and often funny or cool but they don't really crack out goofy jokes to be funny. Any funny moments are inherent to the dialogue or character's actions and not overly dominant.

Should've cut some of the goofy crap out and let some other scenes play out longer, movie despite being a thrill was quite rushed.

@dethpillow Yeah the collector was a missed opportunity. Should've been more elaborate and showed us more of the things he had in there.

Thanos too, it was lame and lacked gravity. Could have been handled better.

SauronsBANE - 11/29/2014, 3:11 PM
@dethpillow I re-watched Guardians the other day, and I think they definitely made a conscious effort to hold back on the weirder and more sinister aspects of The Collector (among other things as well). If you think about it, Gunn had A LOT to set up in the movie with not a ton of time to do it in...and yet we still managed to get scenes about the Celestials, much more info on the Infinity Gems, a little backstory on The Collector, and multiple scenes with freaking Thanos!

I agree that they could've made his lair much more creepy and sinister (it definitely would've helped make that poor slave girl's situation much more appalling and resonant), but I'd imagine that the sequel will pay a lot more attention to how dangerous and just plain weird The Collector is. I simply adore this movie, but I imagine most of its flaws were a result of being an origin story for FIVE different characters. It was basically The Avengers, without the benefit of the previous solo movies.

Hopefully the sequel can flesh out those kinds of things more!

Yeah, I see what you mean about Ragnorok too. If I remember correctly, it's going to be the second-to-last movie before Infinity Part 1, so I could see Ragnorok basically being a sort of prequel to Part 1. Maybe that could then lead into Thanos' fully-fleshed out "origin story" in Infinity Part 1?

Honestly, they could do so many things with Thor 3. And I wouldn't be surprised if it really doesn't resemble the comics all that much either. I agree, I can't wait to get more info about that movie too!

@dethpillow The truth is,Ronan was another weak one dimensional boring villain. He have only awesome voice, nothing more.He don't have any epic moment or fight scene, and he was defeated by dance off.He and Malekith are the worst villains.I hate Loki, but he is the best villain so far in MCU.I hope that Ultron will be the first really awesome and scary villain,Thanos also.

"he was defeated by dance off"

I'm usually against this kind of stuff, but by now writing this should trigger some form of punishment. Nothing bad, just a nice little reminder of the pain I feel everytime I see someone parroting this nonsense.
SauronsBANE
SauronsBANE - 11/29/2014, 3:58 PM
@dethpillow I'm not really all that familiar with Gunn's previous films, but yeah I'm positive that he had to grow and adapt as a filmmaker in order to make Guardians as good as it was. Even so, you can just feel how the movie is an extension of Gunn's own personality. The humor, the character and set designs, the character interactions, and now that I see how Gunn puts himself out there in public...all of it just feels like James Gunn, you know? I could be wrong, but it really feels like he was able to progress and take that leap as a filmmaker, but still stay true to what he is.

And that's probably a big, subconscious reason why I loved the movie so much. It doesn't have an airtight, twist-and-turn plot like The Dark Knight or The Winter Soldier, but it's just so damned earnest. It never comes across as pretentious or fake or ironic, like you said. Everything about it is simple and straightforward - a group of screwed-up losers come together and learn to be a family. And the awesome, sentimental ending is a reflection of that. I really like how you put it: it's a movie that just simply makes me happy!

Since we are off-topic, many people overlook the fact that Alexander Pierce was a great (non-powered) villain.
