Now that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is playing in theaters, those who worked behind-the-scenes on the Marvel Studios threequel have begun to share their work on social media, and concept artist Christian Cordella has given us a look at his designs for the crew's snazzy new uniforms.
The Guardians (well, most of them) have worn matching costumes in the previous movies, but these outfits inspired by the Legacy comic series by Andy Lanning and Dan Abnett have already become fan-favorites.
“I feel so proud that I worked on the official uniforms for the movie Guardian of the Galaxy volume 3," Cordella captioned his post. "It was an amazing feeling seeing them coming to life on the big screen and wore by all the characters. A special thank you to the amazing costume designer Judianna Makovsky.”
Check out the artwork below, and let us know what you thought of the team's new duds in the comments section.
"In Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere. But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past." "Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life—a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them."
Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova. Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrives in theaters on May 5, 2023.
