As Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 continues to win over audiences across the globe, director James Gunn has taken to Twitter to share a hi-resolution look at the beautiful group shot that closes the film.

While Vol. 3 got off to a slower start than its predecessor, strong reviews and an exceptional audience response has resulted in the film having some of the best holds in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. While it's still super early, on its current trajectory, the Marvel Studios blockbuster could top $900 million before the end of its run, which would make it the highest-grossing film in the trilogy.

Pictured from left-to-right are Cosmo (Maria Bakalova), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper), Groot (Vin Diesel), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), the Legendary Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Kraglin (Sean Gunn), and Drax the Dad (Dave Bautista).

Check it out below:

In Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere. But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life—a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

The movie was AWESOME!
Watched it twice so far (definitely recommend watching it in IMAX)
Only nitpick I have was Star-Lord not wearing his helmet 😅
And I know that he needed to not wear it for the “final” scene to happen…
But man, it would have been so cool with the new uniforms and looked amazing in the hallway scene (just have it destroyed afterwards)

@TheHumanSpider2 - heh, I didn’t click the photo, she’s cropped out in my view of the twitter pics

It’s still a cast photo and not a spoiler. The article could literally be “cast photo from guardians of the galaxy 3” and not “THAT photo from the END of the franchise!”

So much better than I was expecting. Only disappointing thing about this movie was some of the music choices. Not all them had the punch that the choices in 1&2 had. Plus does anyone else think it’s funny that Chris Pratt had 2 hits in a row that featured Beastie Boys No Sleep Till Brooklyn?

I came here expecting all the experts here to say why it won’t reach $900 million or why it will make way more than that.

@RolandD - *Ahem* I, good sir, believe myself to be an expert in such matters (I have an official coffee mug that my staff gave me that says "B.O. Expert which I'm SURE means "Box Office Expert") and even though I haven't seen GotG3 yet and only know what I know about it via trailers and posts on this website, I can tell you, for certainty, it's going to make exactly $932,674,202.89 at the WWBO by the end of its run. Not a penny more, not a penny less. Come at me.
