Deadline is reporting that, for the first time since before the pandemic, a Super Bowl trailer has shot past 100 million views in the 24-hour period following the Big Game.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's second trailer was the big winner with a massive 134.1 million viewers across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. This is something of a surprise considering the fact it wasn't our first look at the threequel, but it just goes to show how much excitement there is for the movie.
The Flash did well with 97.4 million views, while Fast X wasn't too far behind with 94.1 million views. Last year's big winner was Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness with 93.1 million views.
Warner Bros. is likely to be very happy with this outcome because there's been a lot of negative buzz surrounding the Scarlet Speedster's movie. That's primarily down to star Ezra Miller, of course, but the response to the teaser has been very positive even when fans know a reboot of the DC Universe is on the horizon.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova.
Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrives in theaters on May 5, 2023.
