A new standee has been spotted for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and it offers a fun, surprisingly casual, look at the space-faring team of superheroes.
Front and centre is Star-Lord, with his sister, Mantis, and Kraglin on the left. On the right are Drax and Nebula, while Cosmo, Groot, and Rocket can be seen below. Interestingly, Gamora is also featured, though we have a feeling that's more of a marketing ploy than an indication Thanos' daughter will be getting close to the team in this movie.
After all, the Variant has no memory of her time as a Guardian, and a trailer shown to D23 attendees last summer suggested she's the new leader of the Ravagers.
A closer look at the names on this Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 standee confirms Elizabeth Debicki will return as Ayesha, while Sylvester Stallone is also given top billing. That's it in terms of "reveals," though rumour has it we could get a new trailer during the Super Bowl tomorrow night.
Take a closer look at the standee below!
In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova.
Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrives in theaters on May 5, 2023.
