X-MEN: FIRST CLASS Star Kevin Bacon Is Ready To Play Himself In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3

Kevin Bacon has been mentioned by Star-Lord on a number of occasions in the MCU, and is clearly his personal hero. So, how would the famed actor feel about making an appearance as himself in that world?

Kevin Bacon and Footloose have been referenced on a number of occasions in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, leaving fans to wonder when Star-Lord will finally come face to face with his idol.

Peter Quill hates Earth, according to filmmaker James Gunn, and it's been said that the hero likely spent as little time as possible on the planet after Thanos was defeated and the "Asgardians of the Galaxy" blasted off into outer space. Because of that, it's unlikely Star-Lord learned much about what had become of Bacon after one of his most memorable roles.

Talking to Yahoo lately, Bacon said he's open to playing Kevin Bacon in the MCU.

Before I let you go, I wanted to ask about superheroes. Obviously you’ve been in an X-Men film and you have your presence in the MCU where you’re frequently referenced as one of Earth’s greatest heroes. Is there a chance we get Kevin Bacon as Kevin Bacon in one of those films?

You tell Marvel, man. I’m ready to go. So far I haven’t heard anything about it, but I’d love to.

It seems doubtful that Marvel Studios will enlist the X-Men: First Class star to play himself in the MCU, but a small role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would be good fun.

Who knows, perhaps the MCU could reveal that Bacon is an alien? It surely isn't too much of a stretch to imagine that a Skrull could have been impersonating him for all these years!

Perhaps with a mustache, he may be the most feared old corsair in the galaxy.

I think that shipped already sailed but I’d love for Kevin bacon to explain who put the sticks up people’s butts to Gamora or the metaphorless Drax

@MyCoolYoung - alright, now I want to see this happen. I doubt if the current Gamora will know about, since Quill didn't tell this Gamora about Footloose (as far as we know)

@TheWalkingCuban - was kinda surprised they didn't get Bacon for that role.

Zardu hasselfrau and his magic boat worked well enough for me too though.

Agreed upon. KB is GOAT

Disagreed upon. ZH is popped culture. To me anyway. I respect your opinion.

@TheWalkingCuban - popped culture? Is that overused popculture? I can see where you coming from.

Makes me think of Kung Fury. It was great itself, but the Hoff's involvement was kinda unnecessary in that one in my opinion.
