Ron Perlman Attempts To Rally Support For HELLBOY 3 On Social Media

Guillermo Del Toro's Hellboy duology has always been a favorite amongst comic book fans, with many hoping to see another sequel to complete the trilogy. The series' star Ron Perlman recently took to Twitter to try and rally fan support for that elusive third movie. Check it out here!

Fan demand can go a long way in Hollywood these days. With the arrival of crowd-funding options like Kickstarter, audiences are now more involved than ever in movie production. The recent swell in the number of superhero movies can also be attributed to this. FOX's upcoming R-Rated Deadpool is a prime example of how fans are able to push for the movies they want to see get made.

It appears that Sons Of Anarchy star, Ron Perlman is attempting to rally the same kind of support for Hellboy 3. Guillermo Del Toro's Hellboy adaptations, while never box office juggernauts, have always been received favorably by fans and critics alike, and many have been waiting for a third installment to conclude the trilogy. Those fans will have been happy to see Perlman take to Twitter yesterday to try and get #HellboyIII trending:

It seems he wasn't the only Hellboy star eager for a return to the series either. Prosthetic make-up specialist and frequent Del Toro-collaborator Doug Jones answered his co-star's call:

While this isn't official confirmation by any means, it's encouraging to see the franchise's stars so enthusiastic about the prospect on finishing what he and Del Toro started back in 2004. How excited are you by the idea of a third Hellboy film? Is it on top of your wish list, or could you not care less? Be sure to leave us your thoughts in the comments below!

Del Toro needs try and make it a less risky budget, end of. Still it would do better than the 180 million dollar sink Tomorrowland is.

Universal and Legendary need to partner up on this ASAP. Get someone else to direct Pacific Rim 2 and have Del Toro write/direct Hellboy 3.

First one was good,
Second one was very TV melodrama with some epic moments.

Would love to see Hellboy go dark and scary, flip the genre, Action Horror with same humour as the others.

Get Del Toro to direct, and someone else to write.

Better do it sooner rather than later. Perlman is already looking lethargic.

Hellboy 3 should have been made years ago. I know Del Torro is an ambitious director but he really should have finished the Hellboy Trilogy before he started the Pacific Rim franchise and his Crimson Peak project. When it comes to the casting of Hellboy, you really can't get anyone more perfect and suited to play Hellboy than Ron Pearlman. Unfortunately he is not getting any younger and it is very rare where you have a great cast who are more than willing to return to play their respected parts. They want to finish Hellboy more than the man who brought us Big Red to the big screen. Del Torro needs to do this before its to late.
