"Grimm" is a drama series inspired by the classic Grimm Brothers' Fairy Tales. After Portland Homicide Detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli, "Turn the Beat Around") discovers he's descended from an elite line of criminal profilers known as "Grimms," he increasingly finds his responsibilities as a detective at odds with his new responsibilities as a "Grimm."

His attempts to shield his fiancée, Juliette Silverton (Bitsie Tulloch, "The Artist"), and his partner, Hank Griffin (Russell Hornsby, "Lincoln Heights"), from the hazards of his new life have reached a crisis, leaving Juliette in a mysterious coma and Hank on the verge of a mental breakdown.

With help from his confidants, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner, "The Ugly Truth") - both reformed Grimm creatures, Nick must help those closest to him while still facing off against all manner of ancient evils, including royal lines dating back to the original profilers themselves, the Grimm Brothers. As Nick develops his ability to harness his inner Grimm, he begins to question what he once knew, never more so than when he is reunited with his mother (guest star Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, "Scarface"), also a Grimm, whom he thought dead for the past 20 years. Reggie Lee ("The Dark Knight Rises") and Sasha Roiz ("Caprica") also star as Sgt. Wu and Captain Renard, respectively.

The Dark Knight Rises is now playing at your local theater. The film stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.

This show is just okay. Main character seems inconsistent. And it feels like they are just using the fairy tale theme as a crutch, it's so loosely adapted. Which fairytale involves Rhinoceros people again?

My favorite episodes were the one with the spider lady and the one with the violinist rat boy.

I think Once Upon A Time does a better job of making use of its source material.

I really dislike the show. Always feels like it's going nowhere and very formulaic plus that weird 'neck-breaking-twitch' every single creature does every time they 'transform' even though no one else can see through their disguise? Seriously wtf?! Maybe they can't see your true self but that weird twitch and head shake would stand out on a normal looking person - without any need for additional animal features showing.

Or maybe I'm not Grimm enough to see the true self of people who have nervous ticks or suffer from involuntary spasms and this show isn't really fiction.... 0.o Mah.

Having said that: This artwork rocks! :)

ps. It also stereotypes and racially profiles animals and fairytale characters! :P hehe

The show isn't as good as people make out.
It can get a little boring and really tedious.

But somehow I can't stop watching.

I'll sit through anything but even I struggled getting past the first episode. I'm shocked it got a second season. I even managed to get up to episode 6 with the Once Upon A Time one and that was a push.
