HALLOWEEN Actress Jamie Lee Curtis Seemingly Wraps Filming On "Astonishingly Scary" Sequel

After just two weeks on set for the upcoming Halloween sequel, Jamie Lee Curtis shared a heartfelt goodbye message to the folks of Charleston, SC. But does this suggest her character won't last very long?

It was just a little over two weeks ago that actress Jamie Lee Curtis announced her arrival on set of the upcoming Halloween sequel, but it seems she has already wrapped filming. Curtis, who returns to her original role of Laurie Strode, shared a goodbye post on Instagram the other day, seemingly suggesting she has finished filming her part in the movie.

However, there seems to be some confusion surrounding her post. Fans are questioning whether this simply means Curtis is done filming at the Charleston, South Carolina location or if she has completely finished all of her scenes for the film. If the latter, this would suggest that Laurie doesn't actually last long in the upcoming reboot, which would be incredibly disappointing considering co-writers Danny McBride and David Gordon Green brought the character back from the dead. Curtis' character was killed in Halloween: Resurrection, but the two co-writers have stated that this movie will ignore all films in the franchise but the original.

Meanwhile, in a post on Twitter, Jamie Lee Curtis posed in a photo with her on-screen family.

Andi Matichak (left) plays her granddaughter while Judy Greer (right) plays her daughter. She captioned the photo by announcing, "Wrapping up this astonishingly scary revisit to Haddonfield," which also suggests she has completely wrapped filming her part in the movie entirely.

The new Halloween sequel will terrify audiences on October 19.

After all the fuss of her coming back plus ignoring some sequels she better not have been killed off so soon.

Another horror I’ll say I’ll watch but most likely chicken out🤣

@ChangAlang - Donald Pleasence only filmed for 5 days for the original Halloween. I thinkthey are doing something similar in that, they filmed all of her scenes in 2 weeks and they will be spaced out and she will be in most if not all of the movie, just as Dr. Loomis was in the first Halloween despite having such a short filming schedule.

@trytan - I hope that is the case. One of the downfalls of Halloween Resurrection was that Laurie was killed off so early in the film.

@trytan - Wow, I didn’t realise the that about the original. I guess depending on what’s required of her those two weeks might’ve been quite intense.

Thanks

@NegativeNerd - I agree. Sadly, that was due in part to Jaime Lee not wanting to do another one at that time. She thought H20 was to be the final film in the series and was proud that she could be a part of the end of the story just as she was the start of the story. When she got the call for another one she said it was in the film contract that Micheal couldn't be finished off if box office gross was good, so she agreed to return ony IF Laurie was killed off. This from a documentary on the series I have on DVD.

@trytan - all they could afford him for. But you are right and was thinking the same thing about her role being spaced out.

@NegativeNerd - That's just it, ain't it? She was killed off already! Or are we pretending that Resurrection never happened?

@BigDaddyJinx - this one is ignoring ALL sequels, as in even 2. From my understanding they are treating this one as halloween 2 and ignoring the rest. Has me curious about if htey are also going to ignore the plot point about Laurie being his sister since that one was reveiled in Halloween 2, and not th first one.

@trytan - Oh, right! I almost forgot about that. I do remember seeing that on the DVD.

@BigDaddyJinx - From what I’ve been hearing, we are suppose to ignore everything except for Halloween, and Halloween 2.

As long as Busta Rhymes isn't in this movie using kung fu against Michael Myers I'm down to watch.

@MrCamw1 - You have NO IDEA how pissed off my 16 year old self was when that happened in the film. Made Michael a joke.

I think I'm officially done with the horror genre. They haven't scared me since my preteen years but as always I'll follow this movie, look for people reactions, and check out the scenes that are most talked about.

I hope it does well. It and Mike were always the scariest horror film villains for me.

@MyCoolYoung - I just watch ‘The Autopsy of Jane Doe’ it was really good. You should check that out!

Here's to hoping that this new installment in the franchise brings back a simple but amazing formula for horror films again. I wonder what this film will be about. There has to be a good reason why they wiped out even "Halloween 2" from the continuity.

@411IDSigo - your comments are more horrifying especially if it's implied towards terminally ill children

But everyone has a opinion 😊

@BigDaddyJinx - I wouldn't know since Activia is supposed to keep you regular. I don't monitor her bowel movements.
