Slashfilm are reporting that they have received an email from Universal saying that The Wolfman has finally received a rating from the MPAA, and has been rated ‘R’ for “bloody horror, violence and gore".
The film hasn't been having an easy time of it, with delays, re shoots, composers(Danny Elfman) quitting, editing changes etc. It seems that Universal are actually chuffed with the news that they have an R rated movie on their hands, despite the negative financial consequences that can go along with it. I guess they are happy to let the fans know that they decided to go with the longer, bloodier, more violent (and from all accounts better) cut of the film.
CBM fans have been watching this movies development very closely because director Joe Johnston will next be turning his attention to
The First Avenger: Captain America. So lets hope
The Wolfman doesn't turn out to be a howler;)
