After three days of voting, you guys have chosen the actor you’d most like to see play Bruce Banner in The Avengers and future Hulk movies! I know that many of you are still desperate for Ed Norton to return to the role (which probably explains the incessant begging to include him on the poll!) but it’s not going to happen - he’s severed his connections with Marvel Studios and they’ve actively admitted that they’ll be announcing a new actor in the coming weeks. And here is the one you most wanted. It’s The A-Team and District 9 star...

Sharlto Copley

However did not win by a huge majority! Lost star Jeremy Davies was in second place with a difference of only 31 votes!

And in third place was the original Bruce Banner from Ang Lee’s 2003 movie, Eric Bana who was over 100 votes behind Copley and Davies.

And here are the rest of the results in full...

Adrian Brody

David Tennant
202 Votes (7.26%)

Billy Crudup
179 Votes (6.43%)

Matthew Fox
166 Votes (5.96%)

Steve Buscemi
125 Votes (4.49%)

Patrick Wilson
108 Votes (3.88%)

Cillian Murphy
87 Votes (3.13%)

Some of the other names mentioned included Giovanni Ribisi, Sean Maher, Nathan Fillion, Matt Bomer, Guy Pearce and Michael C. Hall. Although there was no landslide winner here, I personally would be happy with any of the top three choices so here’s hoping that somebody at Marvel Studios is listening! Thanks for voting!
