Underrated actor. If the guy was younger, he would've been the perfect Captain America.

If Eckhart was younger he'd have been a perfect Captain America... Oh well, he'd still make do as a solid Steve Trevor especially given the New 52 take

Dude is great, Thank You for Smoking was genious. And I bet he would have been an awesome Cap.

don't understand what they're going for... is he supposed to be made up of multiple bodies or are the stitches just from surgical work on a corpse? in the book he never actually says what the creature is made of but he implies it's made of clay, and the popularity of the golem myths at the time make it logical.

anyway, if it's supposed to be a patchwork of corpses like they typically (stupidly) do, you would think the pieces might not match up so perfectly, you know? at least have some variation in the skin color...

As long as it doesn't have the Van Helsing feel to it I think it looks interesting.

Looks like Aaron Eckhart with a bunch of scars and unlike a reanimated monster made up of corpses.
I think it could have been better.

I thought he was suppose to be hideous.

Well if you look up the film's concept, it sounds like it's loosely based on the classic novel so I'm not surprised he looks drastically different.

SERIOUSLY?? What is this? Beefcake Frankenstein? Heartthrob Frankenstein? WTF?
AlternateNo4

@alex
he's supposed to be obviously inhuman, and thus perceived as hideous by the prejudiced populace. but shelley never has fankenstein tell us exactly what the creature is made FROM, so there's a little wiggle room.

he has some ugly features, like translucent yellow skin, black lips and runny eyes, but also some positive ones like long, flowing black hair and perfect teeth. the most important thing is that he's supposed to be over eight feet tall and as agile as a deer, and they can't do that with an actor in makeup... so unless they go full cgi it's never going to be quite right. but yeah they could get closer than this.

For chrissake, what's the point of calling him Frankenstein's monster when his appearance defeats the entire purpose of the character?

That's the handsomest reanimated corpse I've ever seen.

um, he's never actually called a monster in the book.

I wouldn't be one to talk Gusto. Judging by your latest pics, you would've been an awesome Dr.Frankenstein. No Makeup, no prosthetics, no hassle!

I still believe he was the best part of The Dark Knight. Guy is such a great actor, but hugely underrated. Heath was great, but had he not died, i truly believe Eckhart would have gotten a lot more notice and hype on his portrayal of Harvey Dent.
AlternateNo4
AlternateNo4 - 7/11/2013, 9:52 AM
@monkey - you mean the creature? definitely not and honestly, it's kind of cool that they're calling him adam in this one because frankenstein does call him that in the book a couple of times. not as a NAME, more as a reference like "this adam i have made." but hopefully it will finally help people get it right.

[frick].

Never thought of him being Cap, but heck yeah if he was younger he would've been the top choice.

Chris Evans is a pussy compared to Eckhart.

They couldn't at least make him look like a monster? What bullcrap.
superbatspiderman

Is this sexy Frankenstein? hopefully this movie is good because I really like Aaron Eckhart as an actor and he really hasn't done too much of significance since The Dark Knight and I hope that changes.
