From Academy Award®--winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton comes "John Carter"—a sweeping action-adventure set on the mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom (Mars). "John Carter" is based on a classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, whose highly imaginative adventures served as inspiration for many filmmakers, both past and present. The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom and its people rests in his hands. The screenplay was written by Andrew Stanton, Mark Andrews and Michael Chabon.

It would have made more cash with a more known actor in the leading role.

Nothing against Taylor Kitch.

Just saying.

As movie-promoting collage art goes, that really sucks. Why are they still so fixated on those white apes? Oh, I guess so people will remember that lobby card they saw a few weeks ago.

This was 2012s Green Lantern, a lot of promise, mostly fun, but no reason to be remembered a month after the release

What they don't tell you is each copy of the Blu Ray is going to cost 1000 dollars to help make up the money lost on this film.

I cant wait. I loved this movie....

I think what is amusing is how every critic is raggin on the movie... yet...every review a normal human being gives...loves the movie and approves for a sequel. Disney needs to just do it based on that. for the fans.
