Justice League underwent significant reshoots courtesy of Joss Whedon and much of what Zack Snyder had planned seemingly ended up on the cutting room floor. As a result, it probably won't shock you to learn of even more scenes which failed to make the final cut. In a new interview, Ray Fisher has explained that a lot of moments revolving around Cyborg's backstory ended up being ditched.

"There were some things that you’ll probably end up seeing later on, that didn’t make it into this version of the film," the actor explains. "There’s a scene with Victor Stone, when he still was Victor Stone, and his mother, that was really special to shoot." His mother is referenced in the movie but those shots of him looking human and playing football were actually nowhere to be seen here.

"You’re shooting and testing, and when you’re putting it together, you’re seeing how cohesive you can make the story," he added, attempting to offer an explanation of sorts for wht things changed to such a significant degree during shooting. "Ultimately this is a team story, and, while there is some Cyborg material that we don’t see here, I’m just happy that my teammates get to shine as well."

Fisher went on to add that we can expect to see more of Cyborg after Justice League but when and where that might be is currently a mystery now that the fate of the DC Films Universe is in flux.

@Invasion96 - 100% agree! Cyborg was like the only character who probably could have carried the plot of the film, given that he was created from the Mother Boxes. I left the the theater and could only think, "who the hell WRITES this stuff?!?"

The movie was dull and boring, yet still all over the place! How does that happen with the JUSTICE LEAGUE??

Please just stop ruining these characters, AN. They deserve better!

@aflynn - I'm glad we get to mock Whedon's reshoots.

I actually enjoyed his performance and character more than anything else in this movie. I would like to see a cyborg movie based on what little time he had on screen. I thought the movie sucked balls but enjoyed cyborg!

If you watch the trailers and watch the film, it becomes painfully obvious how much was trimmed and changed from ZS' vision. Some even the same scene but exchanged for poorer deliveries of a line with worse CGI than the already rendered frames in the trailers. All to achieve a studio mandate of a 2 hour run time. There's a compilation video on Twitter circulating revealing how much was cut based off the trailers. It's really tragic.

@bangarangrufio - I am extremely sour on how much was changed by Joss and/or the studio. I kept wondering to myself why they thought this product was acceptable.

And the thing is, I’m not sure how close to reality a real Zack Snyder original cut could be. That’d be MORE money they’d have to pour into this travesty.

He was great especially for his first film... not gonna lie
Just like I’m not gonna lie about the fact that Flash ran like a person who suffers from special needs( no offense to anyone who knows or has special needs) he just ran like that on purpose for no reason
