KICK-ASS 2: Nightmarish Alternate Opening Scene

In the theatrical cut, Kick-Ass 2 opens with Mindy shooting Dave, who is wearing a bulletproof vest, but in this alternate opening Dave is lured into an alley and terrorized. Hey, we even get some new footage with Dave's girlfriend, Katie (Lyndsy Fonseca).

Kick-Ass, Hit-Girl and Red Mist return for the follow-up to 2010's irreverent global hit: Kick-Ass 2. After Kick-Ass' (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), our hero joins them on patrol. When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)—reborn as The Mother F%&*^r—only the blade-wielding Hit-Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation.

The holidays will pack an extra punch this year as Kick-Ass 2, the second installment in the irreverent action-comedy franchise, comes to Blu-ray™ Combo Pack including Blu-ray™, DVD, Digital HD with UltraViolet™ and On Demand on December 17, 2013, from Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film will also be available on Digital HD on December 3, 2013. In addition to more than an hour of behind-the-scenes featurettes, filmmaker commentary, and extended scenes, the Blu-ray™ Combo Pack also comes with an exclusive alternate opening.

KICK-ASS 2 directed & written by Jeff Wadlow; based on the comic book created by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.. The cast includes: Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloë Moretz, Jim Carrey, Lyndsy Fonseca, Yancy Butler, Donald Faison, John Leguizamo, Lindy Booth and Olga Kurkulina.

This movie was sub par compared to the first. Wadlow is a mediocre director and that makes me scared for the X-Force film. What Vaughn did for the first film was great and Wadlow isn't on par with that direction. I'm scared it'll turn out bad. He's gotta handle Cable, a beloved and awesome character, as well as Deadpool. If Kick Ass 2 is a representation of his directorial abilities, I am TERRIFIED.

I have faith wadlow can pull off an x force movie.. Sure this one wasn't as good as the first but that doesn't mean it was a bad movie.. Although I get how people could be nervous about this, I mean kickass 1 was literally amazing to me and the second was just good and function, but didn't have that epic quality the second half of kickass 1 had. Still.. If he makes xforce, I bet it'd be fun.

This opening was pretty cool. It would have been neat to see it used somewhere in the movie, but since they reuse that alley later in the film, it probably wouldn't have worked. Still cool to see...

@LehsienJew your comment alone just yells not to anything you say seriously. While everyone else actually gives an explanation for why this movie wasn't as great as the first, you take the idiotic and simplistic approach of "shit movie, first one was amazing". Thanks for your opinion, Rain Man

ok... so my comment was deleted. Does that mean no one else noticed the topless chick in a pool subliminally added to the flashes of Dave's parents, friends and mindy?
