Empire magazine has published an official photo of Chloe Moretz as Hit Girl/Mindy Macready in director Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass, based on Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.'s comic book.

Kick-Ass the movie only needs a few more steps before it shows and becomes a hit (or will it).

The comic is ok..i dont think its anything special really. But then again, i havnt read all of the issues. This character looks different in the comic, she wears a cape and is much more covered up. Anyone else think this "costume" is a bit much considering both the character AND the actress are only 11?

I haven't read this book either, I'm interested to see how this plays out.

And Rorschach01, I actually think it's fine she's wearing the school girl uniform, not because it's erotic or anything, that's society. I lived in Savannah for almost five years, Catholic schools for girls everywhere, and they all wore that.

It's that damn porn that makes this appear wrong. Haha!

But all honesty, look forward to it, seems like an interesting story.

yeah i mean im aware that girls do wear uniforms like this! Im just curious as to why they altered a normal looking superhero type costume to this is all. Id like to think that is was not to sexualize an 11 year old..so im going to wait until i see more from this movie before making a judgement

This book only has 6 issues out so far. Millar takes way too long to write everything. I think its a horrible idea to make this into a movie. Pointless unless its an R rated film.

I'm just glad that they aren't casting 22 year olds to play these parts. Thank god for independent cinema!

OK maybe that came off sounding creepy and old uncle-ish. I'm just saying that i'm glad they aren't watering it down and making them all 20 somethng crime fighters.

Part of the point of the comic, from what I gather, is that these are KIDS having to deal with these violent situations that maybe they aren't quite ready for. My Great grandpa went to world war one when he was 16. When I was sixteen i was dating and working at a Levi's clothing store.

Can't Wait! I love the Kick-Ass comics. Way to go. It's just her costume's not the same, but oh well. It will rock no matter what.

I was thinking the same thing... she's only 11.

I'm a fan of John Romita Jr's work! Can anybody tell me where I can find the poster he did for HEARTS OF DARKNESS? (Ghost Rider, Wolverine, and Punisher.) I've searched ebay, allposters.com, and even hunted for it at Wonder-Con, and turned up ziltch. :(

I have been DYING to own that poster again!

@KeepItReal---Hi, KeepItReal! :)

SpiderMan209... Hey Baby! Incorrigible Spiderman! =:) lol..

Hey, try ebay! I got some Identity Crisis #3 posters of Wonder Woman that were hard to find there. It was mint too. You might be able to find your poster there or put it on the wish list and when it is available they let you know. Hope this helps. =:)

Once I looked at this again, i realized that they have already screwed the movie up. Hit Girl doesnt look like this in the books. [frick] this. Hollywood is a bunch of idiots. Boycott Kick-Ass.

OMG i know, the gun is all wrong and she doesn't even hold it like that.....not to mention the hair color, visible difference in shoes and the fact that people who complain like that are just annoying already.

What's going on here? The character AND actress are 11yrs old? Surely not! The character is 11, by Hollywood standards that means the studio would have been looking for someone early-mid twenties! This actress should be playing a new-born!

@KeepItReal---Yeah, I think ebay is my best bet too. It's the waiting for it to show up for auction that sucks though. Thanx 4 telling me about WishList! I've never really purchased anything from ebay; it's still kinda new to me!

You're Awesome, KeepItReal! And thanks for still finding me Incorrigible! Purrrr. :)

The school uniform is in the comics, as well as her crime-fighting costume... I was a little worried when I saw it originally, but yeah, it still follows continuity. I'm really curious about Nic Cage's costume... You KNOW he's not gonna run around in a full face mask for a good third of the film, right?!

(Too much of his hairline would show, and not enough of the face... You know how actors are.)

She looks ready to [frick] something up. Just bring in the buckets of blood, obscene language, and nudity like the comic has then it will truely be KICK ASS.
