I think I prefer Kingsman: The Great Game!

@Forthas - way better title.

@Forthas - for the record, it was never called that. The press just ran with it for some reason, read an interview last month where Vaughn was confused why everyone was calling it that.

@rexlincoln - Even still "The King's Man" is so far removed from Kingsman and Kingsman: The Golden Circle that it sounds silly. It would be like making a film in a trilogy that progresses from Jurassic World and Jurassic Word: Fallen Kingdom...to "Jura Mountains"

(The Jura Mountains is where the Jurassic period gets its name)

It is not logical!

@Forthas - I was so confused then before I saw where you were going :')

Yeah I get what you mean and agree. I always think it's lazy when franchises simply add "the" or the like to sequels/prequels. I'm a stickler for OCD too so things like "The Lost World - Juassic Park" being followed by "Jurassic Park III" drives me nuts.

“Walt Disney Studios and 20th Century Fox have officially unveiled the title...”

Well that’s a weird thing to read.

I actually love this title! The first Kingsman is one of the great action movies of this decade but the second one is just so stupid. The way it furthered the universe was just inexplicably dump. Why did they kill Roxy? Why did they introduce a game breaking resurrection device? Why can’t I remember a single action sequence?

@Bokis - I hated them killing Roxy. It might have been too obvious of a romance to put her with Eggsy, but the opportunity was there and IMO better than the stupid James Bond parody of pairing him with that princess.

Holy shit I just realised Stanley Tucci is playing Merlin... I mean, that shouldn't be a coincidence right? He's definitely playing Mark Strong's (Merlin's) dad/grandfather right?

Is a movie finally acknowledging that they may as well be related?

I loved the first one but part 2 was a let down. I did like it but it needed a rewrite. I hope the prequel and sequel learns its mistakes.

Weird, watching the first movie I always thought the Kingsman agency was way older than a measly 100 years, like Elizabeth-Era Torchwood old.
Don't feel very excited for this movie.
4thMaster
4thMaster - 6/19/2019, 10:48 AM
I got confused by the Queens so Torchwood is a bit older than 100 years, made by Queen Victoria in 1879.
